  Petco on Havana, where the general manager tells you there is no restroom, then offered you a roll of free poop bags like it's funny, can't wait for Amazon to put them outta business...

  I recently adopted Mr. Miller from Trevor's Animal Rescue. This rescue is led by Stephanie Power. She has connections with 15 shelters who call her when a dog is on their euthanasia list. Mr. Miller was in an Arkansas kill shelter and on the list. Stephanie arranged for his transport to Parker Colorado. He stayed with her family for awhile until she found him a foster home. Mr. Miller's original owner died, and his family took him to that shelter in Arkansas. He has been through a LOT! He has separation anxiety big time when I leave the house. I was at Petco to buy a Kong so I could fill it with canned pumpkin and yogurt, put in the freezer, and see if giving that to him when I leave could distract him and give him something to do instead of crying. There were 2 gals there who work for PETCO who were so friendly to Mr. Miller as well as Mr. Barkley my other dog. One literally sat on the floor and let them sit in her lap!! I definitely felt their love of dogs, & I know mine appreciated their attention for sure!! Missy Santasiero

  I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. I was overcharged and I’m not satisfied with the grooming results. Although I spoke with the lead and the charges were explained afterward, I would have appreciated being contacted before any additional fees were added. I was told that two fleas were found (one alive and one dead), but I have checked my other dogs and have not seen any signs of fleas. I was also charged a scissor fee, yet only the ears appear to have been trimmed. Additionally, I specifically requested a round face cut, and neither of my dogs received that style. I would like to discuss a resolution, as this experience did not meet my expectations.

  I took my dog here last week to be groomed. After moving her from SC in January she hadn’t been to a place in CO yet. I booked the grooming online where it said it would be $86 and i got a 30% off coupon. It felt kind of steep, but since it’s close to my house and they offered me a coupon i figured we’d give it a try. I go pick her up 3.5 hours after dropping her off and they give me a receipt with 4 barcodes on it; one for a full haircut and bath (which is all i booked her for), one for a “shave and full brush,” and one other obscure $10 charge along with the barcode to tip the groomer which i was happy to do. These notes do not by any means reflect the quality of the groom or the staff who was working because they were all very kind and i could tell were just scared of to do/change anything because of corporate and how they would treat them. This negative review is to call out corporate Petco and the clear mistreatment of your employees as well as the unclear pricing model outlined on your website. No one should be paying $120 for a 25 POUND MINI AUSSIE to get groomed especially at a large corporation. Me and my aussie will be finding a local groomer to give our money to. I know it doesn’t make a difference for me to take my business elsewhere, but I hope others can see this and redirect their business as well.
