I am only giving 2 stars because the new veterinary technician who checked us in did a great job. I believe her name was Ashley. She was kind, professional, and communicative throughout the visit.
A few days after some water activities, I noticed my Belgian Malinois had developed sores under his training collar. I contacted the trainer to make sure I adjusted the collar correctly moving forward, and because the collar had been exposed to dirty water, I was advised to follow up with my veterinarian regarding wound care. Since my dog was also due for his routine wellness exam, I scheduled an 8:00 a.m. appointment through the app.
I arrived on time and was checked in promptly. By approximately 8:20 a.m., I was still waiting and let the technician know I had another commitment and could not stay indefinitely. At that point, I was advised that, without the veterinarian actually examining my dog, the recommendation was a procedure estimated at over $500 involving sedation, shaving the area, and evaluating the wound to determine whether treatment was needed.
I declined and expressed concern that the veterinarian had not examined my dog in person. The recommendation appeared to be based solely on photographs I had provided. I asked whether a more conservative approach, such as wound care and reassessment if the area failed to improve, could be attempted first. I was told that was not an option.
At approximately 8:40 a.m., the location manager, Jenn, entered the room and explained that the veterinarian was occupied with a sick patient and they did not know when the veterinarian would be available. While I understand emergencies happen, I was disappointed that I had been waiting over 40 minutes without seeing the veterinarian and was being presented with an expensive treatment plan before my dog had even been evaluated.
When I raised concerns about scheduling, I was told the issue was related to the automated scheduling system and that I should not have scheduled the appointment as a wellness visit, despite my dog being due for one. This response was frustrating, as I scheduled the appointment through the options made available to me.
As I was leaving, I was informed there would be no charge because the veterinarian never actually saw my dog. I was then advised to consider changing my dog's prong collar because it was causing the wounds. However, the sores were associated with a training collar after water exposure, not his prong collar.
Unfortunately, this experience also reinforced concerns from a previous visit. During that appointment, I was provided pre-appointment sedation medication for a future nail trim and anal gland expression. I expressed concerns at the time that the dosage did not seem effective, and I was later informed that the dosage instructions provided had been incorrect.
I understand that emergencies and scheduling challenges occur in veterinary medicine. However, recommending an expensive sedated procedure before the veterinarian has personally examined the patient, combined with the extended wait and lack of communication, left me without confidence in the care provided.

Terrible communication. No follow up. Wrong percription written by doctor who left for Africa the next day, couldn't be found. She sent me to King Soopers for a cat prescription they dispensed horse pills they say based on what doctor wrote in script. Vetco refused to return phone calls for 3 days, didn't care or prioritize unfinished business with us by waiting till late Monday afternoon to call in a liquid compound at the end of the 3rd day. We Never received it, nor any follow up. I called 3 times asking for the assistant who treated my cat who put him in a collar, and the office manager refused me to speak with her, lied to me, said she was busy, then I call back an hour later and I'm told she's at lunch, she refused to let me talk to her until she left at the end of the day which was too late, I found another vet after they refused follow up care on a Monday after treating my cat on a Saturday. Monday morning should have been their 1st priority to complete my cat's prescription and sort out the problem with the pharmacies. No support from this group whatsoever! They scammed me, sent me on a 2 wild goose chases between pharmacies, doctor wrote a script then left them for Africa, office manager refused me to let me communicate with her assistant. This place should be shut down with the lacksaidaisical attitude. Office manager Jen was rude, defensive, combative argumentative and a ridiculous petty control freak. She refused to allow me to follow up questions with the vet assistant who actually treated and handled my cat and put a collar on him. Why should an office manager and administrator know details about my cat who never treated or even seen my cat. She argued with me, why do I need to speak with her? Because she treated my cat! She then went on a rant about how busy they were, and started gaslighting and projecting onto me, that if my cat had an emergency, then I would want them to "prioritize" him. That's the thing, my cat was having an emergency, we had an appointment there Saturday afternoon, we already paid for services, , plus supplements, plus they didn't fulfils prescription and Vet Dr wrote it for a horse, there were no follow up and this office manager belongs somewhere else, not in a animal care clinic. They did not prioritize completing our compound which should have been their "priority" first thing Monday morning, instead it was never done, or allegedly done at the end of the day. Still no evidence of it. no phone call, no email, no follow up, no medication. This place is poorly managed, they lack understanding, sensitivity, timely communications which is bordering on malpractice. They never fulfilled my compound order, they misled me with my cat's meds twice, my cat was without medication and still is. I was forced to go to another clinic. Vetco total care took my money $200 then refused to follow up and make sure my cat had the proper medication. This is malpractice!!!!! One of the worst run clinics in town. They never have the same person twice. Not real Vets, all pretenders, their transients, they lack caring attention and without communication nothing gets resolved. They refused me communication all day Monday after treating us on a Saturday. They simply do not care about after care, follow-up questions, the cause and effect of their own actions and poor decisions, and the results of their mistakes, they dont want to hear it, instead they avoid, deny, and gaslight you and get combative on the phone for simply wanting to follow up with the same vet assistant who treated my cat. Avoid taking your pet to this clinic. Its a chaotic mess run by control freaks and petty tryants who lack timely and professional communication skills.
