Brought in my cats tail for a examination before a needed surgery, post examination they gave some medicine that barley lasted half its prescription time and said he'll be fine, despite him still needing to get the surgery.

One of my dogs Senci has been on 100mg capsil gabapenton for many months. At the end of August I picked up what I thought and what said on the bottle more 100mg caplsils of gabapenton. I gave her the large tablets prescribed by banfield two times a day. I called the next day and told banfield I recieved large tablets and she is spitting them out. I was told to put in bread. I said no and was told the Veteranarian would call and let me know if I can exchange the tablets for the capsils she is usued to. I got no call back that day or the next morning. The next day Senci was wabbling when she tried to walk and i thought something else had happened and she was sick. I took Senci to a diffrent Veteranarian who told me they don't make 100mg tablets for gabapenton. And prescribed the 100mg caplsil for Senci. After the new Veteranarian apointment I got a phone message from Banfield Veteranarian letting me know I can exchange the tablets for capsils. After learning they don't make 100mg tablets for gabapenton and that banfield gave me 600mg tablets = 500mg overdose for each time. To be given two times a day resulting in 1,000mg overdoes per day. I was shocked the banfield Veteranarian didn't tell me to stop giving her these and come in as soon as possible.. but instead was told I can exchang them if I want to. Either hoping nobody would find out or actually didn't know this as the prescribing Veteranarian. Either way I will never bring my dogs to banfield. I wish that banfield would have said sorry and made this right as soon as it happened. Instead over the last month I have had to make tons of calls and emails to banfield corporate and whittier banfield and to this day (July 23rd) they have not resolved this situation. They now want me to send them proof I brought Senci to a diffrent Veteranarian to at least cover less then $200 for this emergency visit. I still haven't been told why this huge mess up happened yet banfield wants me to find paperwork to give them? All they are willing to do now is take off the last 2 months I have left for Sensi’s wellness plan and refund me the price for the incorrect 600mg tablets of gabapenton. I have not been refunded for July's payment for both of my dogs and at this point extremely frustrated with more weeks going by with no resolution. * I emailed banfieldcares@banfield.com On July 13th and on July 20th.. response was that they forwarded the email to the local banfield and there corporate leqdership for review and to wait 3-5 business days for a response. Thanks. Adam Brown
