I brought my cat in for IV fluids that required hospitalization. The night before, the veterinarian presented two options: Subcutaneous fluids (no hospitalization required) IV fluids (which required hospitalization) I initially chose subcutaneous fluids, but the vet strongly recommended IV fluids as the better option, so I agreed. I was prescribed Gabapentin (.8 ml) to give the night before and again the morning of the appointment to help my cat remain calm. I followed those instructions exactly. Later that day, I was informed that they were unable to administer IV fluids and instead gave subcutaneous fluids. At pickup, I reviewed the invoice and requested that the hospitalization charge be removed since the IV procedure was not performed. My request was denied. I was told the issue was that my cat was not sufficiently relaxed and was accused of not giving the prescribed medication, which I had. When I asked how I could dispute the charge, I was told the bill would be sent to collections and that I would “end up paying much more.” I understand that veterinary care is complex and that procedures don’t always go as planned. However, I was disappointed by the refusal to adjust the bill for a service that was not completed and by the manner in which my concerns were addressed. Unbelievable.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I’ve brought my kitten in 3 times and kept telling them he was having breathing problems. Three times they assured me that he was fine and the fourth time I brought him in telling them I’m canceling the wellness plan and that he’s still has breathing problems they finally inform me he had conjunctivitis. After I treated him with the medicine they provided my sweet baby boy can breathe. It breaks my heart to know that he was neglected by this vet office. I’m so lucky that it was nothing life threatening. Please do not take your pets here. They do not care about them. They only want your money. If you do not have the wellness plan it’s a little over 80$ a visit just the visit plus whatever else the vet decides your pet needs. Also the worst thing is for a simple visit like shots you have to drop off your pet anywhere from 3-4 hours min. Banfield pet hospitals everywhere only want your money and forget talking to a vet. If you’re lucky you might get to talk to the nurse.
