  Very disappointed with the grooming service at Petco. My dog was not washed properly, the teeth brushing was either not done, and the brushing/combing was clearly not completed correctly. I specifically paid for the “15 Minute Brush” service, but the entire appointment only lasted about 25 minutes, which makes no sense considering all the services included. I also paid extra for the “Specialized Care – Calm & Refresh” package, which was supposed to include lavender shampoo, conditioner, paw balm, teeth brushing, nail buffing, and one-on-one VIP treatment. It honestly felt rushed, and several services looked skipped or barely done. Very disappointed with the quality and attention to detail, especially for the price. I would not recommend this grooming location.

  There is a DoorDash driver named David who is being allowed to actively harass the womxn who work and shop at this location. He appears to only target younger womxn, and a cashier confirmed that he specifically seems to enjoy harassing the 18 yo who volunteers there. I reported this to corporate when he followed me out to me car trying to engage my attention, and asked that he be banned from the store and shared that he was harassing their employees (3/10/26). As of 4/8/26, I watched David walk right into the store, and the cashier visibly tensed up and told me he now comes in 2-4 times a DAY to harass them. It is inexcusable that Petco and their management is not standing up for their (primarily female) staff and protecting them from this creep.

  I love this place because they have an option to bsn?o of dogs and their staff are delicate with the lint and skin of my golden doodle but would be more than they had the option to make an appointment online because now it is 8:58 and it is closed thanks

  Petco 5850 Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, CA 91411) I visited this store twice, and unfortunately both experiences were very disappointing. The first time, I waited almost an hour for someone to help me. When an employee finally came over, I was told they were closing. At the same time, I witnessed an argument between a customer and an employee — she seemed unprofessional and clearly unhappy to help. The second time, I came to buy a guinea pig. I had everything required for proper care: a large cage, food, and all necessary supplies. Despite that, I was refused the sale. The supervisor gave many excuses, and I left feeling very upset. My child was also very disappointed. After that, I went to another store where I was able to purchase a guinea pig without any issues and received great customer service — they actually helped me. Yesterday, I had to come back to this store to buy pet food. This time everything went smoothly, and I want to thank the young man who helped me. However, overall the customer service at this location is poor. Most of the staff do not seem to know how to properly work with customers. Very disappointed with this place.
