WARNING: The Doctor at this Veterinary Hospital gave my 16 year old cat Anesthesia AND THEN DECIDED TO NOT DO THE SURGERY. I was told she examined the tumor AFTER the Anesthesia and decided that it was now too big for her to remove. When I asked why did you not examine my cat before sedation? The answer was "we were very busy today". I've learned it is standard protocol to perform an exam ahead of surgery. If you can believe this too... the Dr said she was going to charge me for the IV after the sedation. I refused to pay. Ultimately, i wasted 3 weeks dealing with this Veterinarian for a very serious issue and paid them hundreds of dollars. I didn't have the best experience here and found the Dr overall to be unprofessional (using profanity multiple times). I don't recommend coming here as there are much better options in Vallejo.

I first called to inquire if they were accepting new patients on 06/22/26 & if they could recommend pet insurance. I asked if I could call back for an appointment after obtaining insurance for my dog, which she said with a resounding "yes" Today (07/18/26) I called to set up that appointment after reviewing their website which also states, repeatedly, they're accepting "new patients" During the conversation I was told they had no appointments on Monday but had an opening on Wednesday. Melanie asked a variety of questions then she suddenly directed me to another vet, stating they're not accepting "new patients" Obviously, she was lying. Unprofessional is an understatement!!! BTW, I have had another very unprofessional encounter when choosing to do business in Vallejo, I will now avoid from this point on!

Was a long time customer but this one incident changed everything. I had been taking my dog to this vet for a few years now to get her check ups, vaccines, and dental work done. My dog is a toy fox terrier and she has black nails. Because of this a lot of groomers tend to cut too far out and end up hurting her, or making her bleed. Thus, when my groomer (who knows how to cut nails— unlike this vet hospital) is fully booked and my dog needs a trim I take her here. Every-time they cut my dogs nails I was there and would hold her for comfort, she would move a little but that’s about it. Never once, by her veterinarian nor in her medical records was it recorded nor stated (to me) that she had AGGRESSION issues, especially regarding nail clipping. I took my dog yesterday for a nail trim for 35 dollars, I don’t mind since I pay for “quality”. I don’t want her to get hurt. However this time, they took her to the back without me (I had no issue since I trusted them ) but when she returned, I immediately noticed her nails WERE WAY TOO short! They were uneven throughout her paws. And she showed discomfort. I later took her to one of my other groomers and that’s when we noticed THEY HAD CUT THROUGH 4 of her nail vessels and HURT HER. What’s worse? At the end of the appointment there was no mention of aggression just that she was a wiggler (we both laughed). I called them to fix this or atleast make it right, instead I got a call from the manager. This manger is extremely disrespectful, emotional and started trauma dumping on me and cursing about a previous experience he had with a different dog. He then proceeded to blame their incompetence and inconsistent work on my dog. First he claimed that this is is bound to happen with dogs with black nails all the time ( not true, you are suppose to go in with clippers to cut majority of the length, THEN once close to the vessels GO IN WITH A NAIL GRINDER OR FILE. They just used the clippers ) . THEN he claimed that my dog didn’t like having her nails cut because of an incident she had in 2021, despite having constant nail trims after the incident with no issues. He claimed that she was aggressive, and tried to justify their terrible work? ( if this was even true, why did they continue the service and HURT MY DOG? A good vetenerian would have refused service if it wasn’t posible.) throughout this whole call he was yelling, talking over me and being so rude. When I told him that I just wanted my money back and wouldn’t return he said the most disrespectful thing. “ I would be more than happy to give you your money back, but let me give you some advice you should put your dog on sedatives for future nail clippings” crazy! Recommending this to a dog with no reported aggression is dangerous ! And extremely rude! For the sake of your baby’s just don’t come here. He proved that they DONT care. Why would you want to leave your pet in care of someone who can’t even trim nails correctly?

The Veterinarian and office are always helpful and polite. We sometimes stop in just to give our dog a treat. This helps make the Vet visit a happy experience for our dogs.

All the recent 5-star reviews have no comments, which make me thing the overall rating of this business is a scam. I had an appointment for my cat. I arrived several minutes before my appointment time to find their tiny waiting area full. There were about 6 people. Why, if it's appointment only? The two receptionists did not greet me, did not acknowledge me in any way. I wasn't able to check in because they kept chit-chatting nonchalantly with customers, who were supposedly just there to pay, but kept asking questions. There was no sense of urgency from the receptionist, even though people were waiting with their anxious pets to be seen. I got the feel no one cares there. And if this is how you treat patients, I do not trust you with my pet. The vet dr may be ok, but if they run their practice so chiotic, front desk doing their own thing and ignores people, it's a reflection of the vet who failed to train their staff and failed to supervise. I got a very bad feeling from this place. And after reading the actual reviews, not just 5-star scams, it makes sense.
