We were told on the phone the walk check up price was 100$
When we got there we were told it would be 130$
We were put into a room and they took our dog, a vet came in and said he just seemed to be having a little allergic reaction , and that he was breathing well, very healthy nothing serious.
Then 10 minutes later a lady comes in with 700$ bill , 120$ each iv, and x rays, ect. as other people mention, no other options, and not presented from the actual vet.
I declined services and asked for them to get our dog so we can leave .
5 minutes go by so We walked to the front and ask where our dog is, they asked us to sign a waiver BECAUSE “ OUR DOG WASNT DOING TOO WELL AND WE DECLINED TREATMENT” and I stated I don’t feel comfortable signing something without seeing my dog first, after I declined they called in the radio to say finally bring our dog back, and also said we can be black balled from any future services! I never got rude with anyone , only expressed I thought it was a little shady they said they would bring my dog 3 times, and took 10 minutes , and also asking me to sign stuff without reading before they hand him back to me.
I Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to be taken advantage of, and your dogs health taken as a joke.

The moment I brought Max🐕 to IVVS in Upland, I just knew we were in the right place. Dr. Chavez is incredible, she took time to calm Max, explain every step with so much genuine care. Brandy, the nurse is so attentive and kind, always keeping Max comfortable... And when Dr. Chavez was out, Dr. Pegg personally called me to make sure the prescription refill was perfect!! His care and kindness even over the phone were so genuine and reassuring. Vanessa at the front desk kept everything moving seamlessly, even with a critical case she made sure I felt supported and taken care of... she's amazing!! I’m so sorry I didn’t get everyone’s name, because EVERY single person there is absolutely phenomenal and deserves acknowledgement!. The facility is spotless, it smells so fresh, and it’s just so cute inside🐾 Every member of the team went above and beyond. I’m beyond grateful!! If you want your pet to have top-tier care, this is the place. I can’t recommend them enough!❤️
My dog died under their watch. During his hospitalization I observed repeated communication failures, inappropriate conduct, medically questionable decisions, inconsistent documentation, and significant gaps in the records they provided.
The trauma I have suffered is ongoing and debilitating. I believe my dog endured unnessesary suffering, and that his death may have been preventable had this hospital acted with competence, honesty, and basic compassion required of a veterinary hospital. They did not.
I encountered hostility, contradictions, and an unusually defensive stance from management. The manner in which I was treated and the inconsistencies within the medical records strongly indicate serious and profound breaches of veterinary and professional duty.
Review searches on forums like Yelp, Google, Reddit, and others highlight recurring complaints echoed with common themes of unethical procedures and ignored instructions, billing and unauthorized upsells. Emergency delays, rude communication, overpriced diagnosis, long waits, worsening outcomes, staff dismissiveness, unresolved complaints, rude and uncaring staff during emergencies, high cost without transparency, poor management and sub-standard care.
You decide.

Over the course of a month, four different outside veterinarians checked my cat Benny for a watery left eye, decreased appetite, and decreased activity. None could find anything other than a plugged tear duct. Benny finally got so dehydrated that I brought him to the emergency room at Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists. The doctor there that night, Dr. Jeffrey Patlogar, examined him and immediately suspected a tumor behind the left eye. He recommended an ophthalmologist, who ordered a CT scan, which indeed showed the tumor. Dr. Patlogar knew it was most likely a lymphoma, and started prednisone and L-asparaginase while waiting for an oncologist to see Benny. The oncologist concurred completely with Dr. Patlogar's assessment and treatment. Because of his timely decisions, Benny survived long enough to get radiation therapy. He has been back to his old self since.
I am amazed at, and very grateful for, Dr. Patlogar's clinical expertise. He basically saved Benny. Furthermore, everyone at IVVS from the receptionists to the nurses consistently showed compassion and attention to my cat and me. If and when Benny gets sick again, we will be coming back to this ER.
The only reason I came to this awful place is because it was early in the morning and nothing else was open.. I didn't have a chance to read the horrible reviews. My dog died here, under their watch. They never called me to tell me he might die, or let me know when he died, or the cause of his death. That's not a joke, it's the truth. They have no compassion for you or your pet and they like it that way. Don't ask questions about your pet or they hang up on you and blame it on you, the client. I'm telling everybody, do not come here. This is where nightmares are born. I'll be haunted forever after what they did to my dog and me. And the lady that points to a wall with a loan advertisement so you can finance your bill, is the most unprofessional, rude, bored to death person I've ever seen working anywhere. It's truly unbelievable and grotesque.
