  Our 11-year old border terrier LOVES going to Banfield Upland, CA. She recognizes where she is going in the car and when we park she is up and ready to spring out of the car. She literally pulls me accross the parking lot and all the way to the weighing station at Banfield. We are so happy to see her interact with the staff. Oh, and she gets excellent medical treatment too! Thank you ALL at Banfield Upland, CA! (Meds are pricey though)

  I usually schedule my appointments 1–2 weeks in advance, so it was extremely frustrating to receive a call just two hours before my appointment asking me to reschedule because of unexpected pet emergencies. While I completely understand that emergencies happen, it seems there should be backup veterinary coverage available to help accommodate scheduled appointments rather than canceling or rescheduling clients for days later based on availability. Receiving a cancellation notice only two hours before a scheduled appointment creates a significant inconvenience and shows little consideration for clients’ time and schedules. Unfortunately, this is the second time this has happened to me. I was very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning.

  I cannot in good conscience recommend this location. We have been coming here for many years just because it is closest, but it is by no means the best. My 2 stars are because a few of the vet techs are 5 star individuals, but the vets and the way the practice is run are sub-par. You can expect to be on hold on the phone for up to 20 minutes sometimes. They need to always staff 2 techs at the front by the phones. Appointments made with the guarantee that I would be able to be in the room with the vet turn out to be false when I show up and they take my dog to the back. After the pandemic, the policy is that they don't let you be in the room during the exam, except in certain circumstances. Since the practice doesn't follow any social distancing protocols anymore, I can assume that they never went back to in-person vet visits not for safety, but so that they can overbook appointments, hold your pet in the back in a cage until they can rush through an exam without having to be asked questions by the owners.
