I feel like I constantly have to overly explain myself every single time I deal with this Petco, and honestly it’s exhausting. The receptionist is literally the worst receptionist I have ever encountered in my life. She is unbelievably rude, dismissive, and does not listen to a single thing you say. Every interaction feels frustrating because no matter how many times I explain something, it either gets ignored or entered incorrectly.
I have repeatedly explained that my boyfriend listed on my pets account is NOT the owner of my dog. He is my boyfriend — that is it. Yet somehow you guys continue to list him as the owner even after being corrected multiple times. It’s irritating and honestly makes it feel like nobody there pays attention to anything customers say.
On top of that, all we asked for was the prescription for her Apoquel because she has severe allergies that we’ve been dealing with for a long time. Instead of simply helping, it feels like you guys are more focused on pushing expensive products and prescription food that we have ALREADY tried. We’ve spent plenty of money already trying different foods, medications, and treatments, and it’s frustrating to feel like our concerns are constantly brushed aside just so another product can be recommended.
At this point, the experience has been completely unprofessional. Communication is terrible, customer concerns are ignored, information is repeatedly entered incorrectly, and the overall attitude from staff — especially the receptionist — has been awful. People bring their pets in because they care about them and want help, not to be talked down to, ignored, or treated like a paycheck.
I should not have to continuously correct basic information about my own dog or argue just to be listened to. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating and disappointing.
