  I meant to write this review about 6 months ago but forgot to. I had a situation where I was being charged more than a friend of mine for a similar procedure for my cat. I rescued this injured cat from the street and I didn't have a job at the time. When I questioned why I was being charged more, they had a lousy reason that made no sense. When I questioned further the office manager got on the phone and was extremely condescending and rude. I had to stop her in the middle of the conversation and ask her what her problem was and she suddenly changed her tone as if she had no idea she was behaving so unprofessional. I judge a place by their office manager. Also, they don't let you go in the exam room with your pet. Which, I always feel is highly suspicious. And then to make matters worse, they come out and discuss your pets findings in the lobby waiting area in front of other people just right there in the open. So, unprofessional. And they have a new client special if you go on their website which saves you some money but they won't tell you when you schedule the appointment. Even when you tell them you don't have a job and just rescued an injured cat and are trying to help it. Shady people.

  This place is a joke !! I do not recommend this vet to anyone ! We took our senior dog for an end of life evaluation with Dr Samuel Villegas. We had an appointment & waited almost an hour to be placed in a room. The Dr showed no empathy or compassion towards our dog . He did not perform an exam on her, all he kept asking us was what we wanted done . We explained to him that she was seen at another vet and that blood & urine test revealed liver problems. We provided all the paperwork that showed her results. Our dog had lost a lot of weight and we wanted to make sure there was nothing else we could do before deciding on euthanizing her . The vet that we had taken her to didn’t have the equipment to perform an ultrasound . We took her to Monte Vista vet to be checked out and possibly do the ultrasound there . Dr Samuel didn’t bother to check her for any signs of sickness. He kept trying to rush us . After being there for 2 hours and nothing getting done because he kept leaving the room we decided to leave & pay the office visit of $76.00 !! We made her an appointment with another vet after receiving numerous recommendations from the Turlock Community . The Dr performed a full exam and found that our poor furbaby had a heart murmur , her abdomen was full of fluid and was jaundice. They immediately did an ultrasound & found that she had cancer in her liver which had spread to her pancreas & spleen. If Dr Samuel had properly examined our dog he would have discovered all her medical concerns and she wouldn’t have had to suffer for additional days . After we let our furbaby go I decided to go back to Monte Vista vet to speak to the manager concerning the neglect of Dr Samuel Villegas. I was put in a room that stunk really bad !! I met with the assistant manager Amber , and after addressing all my concerns I also requested for a full refund of the office visit . Amber, advised me that she would have to investigate and would get back to me . It’s been 2 weeks since I met with her and still no response. I’ve left messages with the manager Chassidy, and no luck with a return call . This office is so unprofessional !! The lack of care and customer service received is the worst I have ever experienced. I hope this review helps someone who is considering taking their pet to Monte Vista to find another vet .

  I've been bringing Molly, my 14-year-old dog here since January, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care they've provided. I've visited urgent care three times, and every experience has been efficient, compassionate, and professional. The staff is always quick to respond to my questions through text, and their customer service is outstanding. Thank you for taking such great care of my senior girl! Definitely will drive from Atwater to Turlock for this team!

  I absolutely love the people here. They actually take time with your fur babies and explain anything you may have a concern about.

  My dog had an injury late in the evening. I called the next morning & they got my dog right in. They didn't do a bunch of unnecessary testing. They assessed the situation & we agreed on a treatment plan. I highly recommend Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital. They will continue to be my veterinarian for all my animals.
