  We recently had a cat adopt us as a family. She well we didn't know it was as she really until after the visit, was anywhere between six and one years old. Seeing how she has been at our house inside and outside and hangs out a lot we decided to make sure she was vaccinated and see if she was chipped. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and checked in immediately. We had approximately a five minute wait with a cat in a crate. There were no problems. It was a really nice wait time. Staff immediately identified the cat is being female and pregnant. They offered and performed an ultrasound for free to verify that our young cat, approximately one year-old, was pregnant with at least four kittens. They did not try to upsell me on anything or overcharge me. I did insist on buying the kitten plan, even though we can't vaccinate while she's pregnant but as soon as she's done, weaning or vaccinated. Again, staff was very friendly, very helpful and put us at rest for taking care of our new family member. Thank you very much to all the staff and the doctor for taking care of us and our new.

  First time visiting can definitely say we will be back just based on the convenience and services we got. We were treated very well and our dog shadow even had a good experience he was so calm on the way home. Thank you

  My little girl Bella was spayed at Community Veterinary on 4/24. She started vomiting and I was instructed to do chicken/rice but I did Pedialyte With a syringe as she could handle. On Sunday blood coup took her to Monte Vista and they immediately accessed her and took her into surgery. Surgery a success but Bella too weak. Dr Donahue was an angel and the office called that Bella’s heart quit. Thank you for your service and prayers. I miss her but God needed her back🙏🙏😇

  I was referred by a pt of mine here. We had taken our collie mix to Salida Sisk Vet where they took X-rays and done blood work and still never gave us a solid answer on what was wrong was told she had lesions on areas or could possibly have Valley Fever to make her as comfy as we could. Filling week took her again pain meds were running out asked to RX Chewy because they were cheaper and she only had enough for 2 more days they never filled it Maya was in massive pain Didn’t trust them so I rushed her here after her health was getting worst called Monte Vista sister Vet of Small Animal Hospital. Monte Vista asked Salida Sisk vet for all Maya’s Medical records and X-rays. As soon as Monte Vista Vet Dr walked in with the X-rays copies and paper work from Salida we were told she had Cancer and in her abdomen her lungs and heart also affected. Salida had all this info for 2 weeks and never gave us an answer they only kept wanted to run more test and money. Lucky I didn’t trust them told my daughter we were going to get a second opinion. Monte Vista is the BEST place they see our fur babies like we do, they don’t see a pet they see a family member there passionate about there job. They pour out there heart and soul into the care they give. Thank you! It was hard to hear the news you gave us but Maya is no longer in pain and is in our lords hands. You guys are amazing we can never thank you enough. THANK YOU 🙏🏽

  My kitty was very sick. I called on a Sunday morning and they have me an urgent care appointment for the same day. They explained where to park and came out and checked us in, then came back and got her when the vet was ready to see her. The vet was very thorough and communicated with me the whole way through. They took great care of my baby! I will use them for all 5 of my animals from now on!
