If I could give this Banfield pet hospital, no stars I would. The communication from doctor to staff is absolutely a joke. All of my concerns were not addressed. I dropped off my dog knowing that she was going to be there for a few hours but not for five plus hours and not having a pee pee break. Save your time and go to another vet

If only there was a zero star rating.
In a nutshell, the overall ratings of this location on Yelp! as 2 stars says it all. But here’s our story:
We took our cat to them for serious issues. Their temp doctor said tests needed to be done, but we should take him to VEG in San Ramon. So we did. VEG took care of him. Then I looked at the paperwork from Banfield before sending it to our insurance. The date of birth was made up because we were never asked. Then a bunch of items were marked as “client declined”, which never happened. It’s been 3 weeks we’ve been trying and each time we were told they don’t have a way to get a hold of the doctor and he’s the only one that can change things. When asked for the manager, we were told she was out sick. Each time it was, “she should be back in a couple of days”. After getting tired of this, I called the corporate office. Got a run around and then transferred to a “care team member”. I was told that someone should get back to me within 3-5 business days. 6 business days later, yesterday I went there and the receptionist said she was out sick. When I said I wasn’t leaving without speaking with someone, she appeared out of the back office. Needless to say, she wasn’t helpful, but was rude and said she was going to call the cops. And gave me a number to the corporate office (wrong number). I said she should and I called their corporate office at the correct number I had. The person told me she would escalate the complaint and I should hear back before the end of the day. Didn’t happen. I called again right now and got the same 3-5 days story. Apparently the so called “care team” is a buffer to keep customers from voicing their concerns to the stakeholders. I asked the “care team member” what happens if I don’t get a call back? She said without hesitation that I’d have to wait another 3 days and call again. If you don’t think this is ridiculous, I don’t know what is.
When you read the above, a lot of questions about discrepancies will arise. The question to each discrepancy is “Why?” Why the refusal to correct? Why the lies? Why no return calls? Why they said they don’t have the number to call the doctor they call all the time? Why? Why? Why? Finally, what is it they are trying to hide or avoid?
If you care about your pet’s health, avoid this place and any Banfield hospital.

Brought our kitten for a spay. Botched procedure and still charged full amount. Can’t recommend this location. No empathy from the rep who assisted either. Felt like just another dollar in the register.

We took our cat in today for a dental visit. From start to finish, the registered vet tech assured us that our cat was in good hands. She did not rush when sharing what options we had available for our cat. After our cat’s visit, the registered vet tech took the time to explain after care, which we appreciated. Thank you to the registered vet tech who took very good care of our cat today. We are truly thankful for you and the staff!

Please do not go here. Made a vet appointment for my kitten and this appointment was 2 days ago. I went in with concerns and they told me my kitten was okay. Barely picked him up mind you, and the total was $95 for a 5 min check up.. I went home bc I thought he was fine but he was just progressively getting worse. Turns out he has a fatal infectious virus and have to put him down today. They also told me his was 6-7 weeks old turns out he was only 2 weeks. Shame on your unqualified staff and I will be filing a real complaint.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
