- ABallie beaderstadtAug 13, 20261.0Extremely frustrating experience\. I scheduled an appointment for my dog, Brisket, at 11:30 AM\. An associate came out, asked the preliminary questions, and then took Brisket to wait for the veterinarian, who was apparently in surgery\. I completely understand that emergencies and surgeries can happen, but what I do not understand is why the clinic continued to schedule appointments for a time when the veterinarian was unavailable for hours\. By 2:30 PM—**three hours after our scheduled appointment time**—Brisket still had not been seen by the doctor\. If the doctor was going to be tied up in surgery for several hours, I should have been informed when I made the appointment or at the very least given the option to reschedule rather than sitting there for three hours waiting\. My time matters too, and this was especially frustrating when I had specifically made an appointment expecting my dog to be examined at that time\. I left feeling that my time—and my pet’s care—were not being treated with the urgency or consideration I expected from a veterinary hospital\. Very disappointing experience\.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
