  I’m genuinely disappointed that I didn’t take any photos or videos of the absolute worst Petco display of marine animals I’ve ever seen. They need to be rehomed immediately, and they should start fresh to improve their aquatic section. The reef and saltwater tanks are in a terrible state, and they need to be restored to a proper visual display. There are many tanks that need attention, as I understand. The entire system is run on one tank, and it’s in a state of disrepair. There’s dead coral, enemies, and fish that could easily crash the system. If the tank is still in there, whatever’s left is unlikely to survive for long. I wish they would rehome these fish to save what’s left and start fresh. It seems like they’re trying to do something, but it’s not enough. I noticed all the lights were out for a possible blackout or because the store was closing. I was checking out when the clerk, who was running to register, was having a conversation with a young lady. I didn’t have to wait long, but it was still unprofessional. After I left the store, I was at the location for the entire time. I was never asked if I needed any assistance with aquatics, and I wasn’t greeted upon arrival. The saltwater and freshwater displays weren’t much better either. Every aquatic plant that I saw, except for the ones out of water, was in really rough shape. They showed signs of mold and were definitely not healthy for the fish or the freshwater system. I don’t know who the expert in aquatics is at that location, but it definitely needs some attention. Hopefully, this brings awareness to the situation, and they’ll be able to turn around the aquatic section. Everything else in the store looked great, so if you’re shopping for your four-legged friends, you should be fine. But if you’re looking for fish and other aquatic pets, I would suggest a local pet shop over this one.

  My Milo loves going to see his favorite Vet, Dr Maryanne Tamayen. He just had the usual nail trim and glands done so didn't see her but got to hang out with the other techs in the back..... thanks Chandler for taking care of us from check-in to check out. Appreciate you all at Vetco Signal Hill (we miss seeing our usual crew from Long Beach store on PCH) ...thanks Dr Maryanne and Staff , you all ROCK!!
