  I had many questions about the different pet gates. The employee was knowledgeable and helpful. He even carried the box to my car and provided me with the names of local cat rescue organizations.

  This is honestly the best pet store on the peninsula! Every single staff member is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Big shoutout to Nathan who bends over backwards to make a customer happy and valued.

  I had a very disappointing experience with Lindsey and Nathan at Petco. We came in to purchase birds and were told we weren’t allowed to buy items for pets outside of their store, even though we already had a full setup at home. The situation quickly became uncomfortable when Lindsey started directing comments toward my 8 and 9 year old children, claiming she “used to be a teacher” and could tell when kids were lying — despite the fact that my children weren’t even speaking. The interaction came across as rude, unprofessional, and unnecessarily judgmental. Her ignorance and attitude honestly made it very clear why she may no longer be working as a teacher and is now at Petco instead. Instead of helping customers and educating respectfully, it felt more like we were being interrogated. If this is how families are treated, management seriously needs to address customer service and professionalism at this location

  This location needs a major make over. Old, dirty a place you don’t wanna shop. Clearly corporate doesn’t want to invest mo et into this location.

  I was surprisingly impressed. I took my daughter there to buy a lizard, but I browsed the tropical fish section and was very impressed. I've kept tropical fish for maybe 30 years, and no just what to look for and what to expect. Their filtration system on their aquariums was top-notch, never seen something quite as sophisticated. They also piped in ocean or babbling brook sounds into the fish section which made me smile. Overall pretty awesome. They put a lot of time and effort into this, and it shows.
