  There was a young lady helping my son and mother who were inquiring about purchasing and housing a geko. She more or less talked them out of having the geko as a pet and then proceeded to chastise me for keeping a snail as a pet. She insinuated that I took years off of it's life by taking it out of it's natural environment. She seemed to think that virtue signaling and talking down to customers is good customer service. I'll never go to this or any PetCo ever again. Very disappointing situation which made my 9 year old son cry. Good job young lady. Someone should really talk to her about her customer service skills or lack there of. And after scrolling down and reading about similar situations from perhaps the same person, I'm wondering why this has not changed. If you are going to guilt and talk down to customers at a pet store, it's probably best for them to work at an animal rescue or shelter instead of a PET STORE.

  Staff was great helping me to obtain a hydration product that was recommended by my vet. The product was out of stock and the staff person offered to order it and have it shipped directly to me. Great customer service!

  I like this location, maybe because it's just very, very convenient to where I live, but they have great prices and a very, very good selection. They also have fish, reptiles, and some smaller mammals usually, grooming services for dogs and the staff I have interacted with are generally helpful, nice and knowledgeable. I will say they're often short staffed, but overall this is a really solid location with a huge variety of toys, food, snacks and gear.
