  Marisa is truly an exceptional trainer, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her! We brought our rescued 2-year-old Koshka to Petco for training, and from the very beginning, Marisa has given him so much patience, attention, and genuine love. She doesn’t just teach commands — she takes the time to understand the dog, his personality, his challenges, and what motivates him. You can really see how much she cares about his progress. Even though Koshka is one of her students, Marisa makes us feel like he is her only student! She gives him so much individual attention during class and always makes sure our whole family understands what we’re doing and why. She spends quality time with us, answers our questions, and gives us practical guidance that we can continue working on at home. She is also incredibly punctual, organized, and professional. Most importantly, she has created a positive and encouraging environment where Koshka feels comfortable learning. We have already seen a HUGE improvement in his behavior and confidence, and we know that Marisa has played a big part in that progress. Training a rescue dog can be challenging, but Marisa makes us feel supported rather than overwhelmed. Her patience, knowledge, dedication, and love for animals truly stand out. We couldn’t recommend Marisa more highly. She is an amazing trainer and an even more amazing person. Thank you, Marisa, for giving Koshka so much patience, care, and love — and for helping our whole family learn how to become better dog parents!

  My boy Kona normally goes to a groomer in Carson but due to circumstance I had to find a new groomer. We decided to give Petco in San Pedro another try. This time I decided to choose Stephanie as a groomer. Kona likes everyone but he tends to be more relaxed with women. I really appreciated the compassion & attentivenesss I received prior to the grooming. I explained in details what I was looking for, the type of cut, the fact Kona has very tender knees & the gentleness I required be given during the grooming. I went into specific details & she was very confident & assured me shed take good care on my "son", I am a very protective mom so trying a new groomer can be very stressful but upon leaving I felt very comfortable & confident he was in good hands. The grooming took approximately 3 hours (it was a busy Saturday). When I arrived to pick him up, he greeted me he was in good spirits. I gave him a once over as I always do after grooming. The cut was perfect, the curls on his ears were not touched, his nails were smooth, his paws were neatly trimmed, and he smelled great and he seemed to really like Stephanie which was a bonus. I think we have found our new groomer! The fact that being a Premier Vetco member I was able to use my $30 in rewards points for the groom, plus I received 20% off the entire groom which brought my total.tononly $47. I couldnt have been happier. Thank you Stephanie for being so compassionate, so attentive and really listening to my requests & concerns. I could feel your love for the pets and that you truly love your job. We will see you again in a couple months.
