Took my pup in today for some breathing issue and met with Dr. MATECON she was just wonderful. Extremely trustworthy and her assessment made 100% sense. Appreciate the comfort and care everyone gave me and my dog. Brought our other dog here for an emergency before had a great experience at that time as well. Thank you everyone.

Overpriced Wonderful Front Desk and Morning Staff, but Hostile, Cruel, & Unprofessional Behavior from the Veterinarian! The front desk staff were professional & went out of their way to show sympathy. However, the veterinarian acted with a despicable lack of empathy, professional ethics, & human decency. Intake Process and Upfront Cost: The vet was cold, pushy about money, refusing to examine our cat until we paid a $2k deposit. My husband was in the room when going over costs. The vet said, "I don't know how serious or what condition that he's in based off the lack of info I have," stating treatment was possible. After discussing it, we felt hopeful, so my husband left for work. I stayed back to wait for the echo, giving me more time with my cat. We told the vet we wanted to take it step-by-step to make sure our cat survives. He recommended an IV, oxygen chamber, echo, inflating the estimate. I told him to do the IV & echo first. I never saw X-rays or received blood work. Cruel Language & Euthanasia Pressure: The vet did not know how serious everything was until they started doing certain things. The vet bluntly stated our cat was definitely going to die today. Showing the echo on a mobile device, he pointed to a massive blood clot & said, "This is why your cat's going to die. You see this clot? You see how massive it is? Your cat's toast." As he continued, he said again, "This is why your cat's definitely toast." I corrected him: "Can you watch what you're saying? The way you are delivering this news is completely unprofessional & unempathetic. How dare you?" He defensively claimed he has 3 cats & understands, but I responded, "If you understood, you would not be delivering the news this disrespectfully. So, you obviously don't understand." He callously remarked, "Well, hey, at least now you don't have to worry about the bill being so high since your cat's going to die. Lack of Empathy & Disgusting Behavior: The vet stepped out so I could call my husband. Once I was done, I went to the front desk like he advised so I could go back to be with my cat. When the vet came out to grab us, he made a remark, "Since you didn't want to wait & added, "Don't mind the other person's cat that's dying on the table right now, just ignore him, he's not your cat anyways." He was completely dismissive of someone else's tragedy, & the people were standing at the front desk. Pressure & Asked for Privacy: At the oxygen chamber, my cat tried to crawl out to place his head on my chest while staff set up right behind us where another cat had just passed. They repeatedly pressured me at least 3 times to sign euthanasia forms. I said "Can you please wait? I'm waiting for my husband & son to return. I'm not signing anything until my family is here so they can be with him." They already had everything set up right in front of other animal kennels without us signing anything. I strictly refused to put him down there. I asked for a private room so we could say our goodbyes privately & out of the chamber so he wouldn't be scared in a machine. The front desk staff thankfully set it up.When the medicine was given & our cat passed in our arms, the vet commented, "See, I told you he would pass with just the pain medicine, your cat's heart couldn't take it." Right after our cat passed, someone came in with the final bill & told us we had a remaining balance. The clinic did give us the private time we needed. The front staff also wonderfully allowed me & my daughter to come back later so she could say her goodbye, since she was flying home & wasn't there at the time. Appalling Aftercare Call: Once home, I called after 8PM due to a wrong DOB.I gave the correct info & requested another hair clipping. The staff member callously told me that other animals passed away today, not just mine, & that they were busy, & the animals are all put together. When I asked if my cat was placed with a bunch of other animals in their cold storage area, he said Yeah! So, again were pretty busy. He then told me to just call back later & let the morning shift decide.

I took my dog to this vet hoping to get answers and help, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. My dog's condition only got worse after the visit, and I was never given a clear explanation as to why he was so sick. To make matters worse, I was charged for medication that I was later told they couldn't even provide. I left feeling frustrated, confused, and without the answers or care I expected for my pet. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. The front desk worker was rude and not willing to provide any comfort.

I’ve had to come here more times than I would have liked, and I can’t say enough good things! The doctors are so thorough, and explain every single step in their thinking. They walk you through different treatment plans and I never once felt like they were offering me an “upsell.” Their techs are equally kind and caring. We arrived at 12:30 AM, and were out the door with all results and medications by 3:30AM. Hoping you never need it, but I will never take my dog anywhere else for an emergency! Maverick approved!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at the vet and surgery center. Dr. Menghini was thoughtful, thorough, and kept us informed every step of the way. We felt Milo was in the best possibly hands and truly appreciated the level of care he received.
