  I've been riding with the Seven Oaks Farm crew for almost 7 years and greatly appreciate the environment and community they have cultivated. I was looking for a low key barn where I can be hands on with the horses and escape from work stress and Seven Oaks Farm fit the bill. The highly competent dressage trainers are focused on safety both for the rider and horses while teaching us skills to be better riders. It speaks volumes when you see all the happy horses and riders - many of whom have been with Seven Oaks Farm for years.

  Pam was amazing and so was Tucker (her palamino horse I worked with). Pam met me at my level, which is basic :) I learned so much about horses and riding. Thoroughly enjoyed myself with her and my daughter who brought me here this Mother's Day. Thank you Pam & Elizabeth! Would give her and Seven Oaks 10 stars if I could.

  I have been riding with Pam, Carrie, and Sonia for about a year and a half and I cannot say enough good things about the Seven Oaks program, here and at the Portola Valley barn. Moving around a lot, I've experienced the highs and lows of lesson programs and horses, and this is definitely a high. The horses are far and away the best school horses I've encountered and the instruction is friendly, useful, and consistent. I have noticed real improvement in my riding at this barn. This place is best for people with some prior experience, but they will take on dedicated beginners or recommend a quality barn for newbies to get some basic skills.

  My first experience of SOF was good. I will go again. I come from a stables where it was normal that the horses work for 2-3 hours a day so I think it is normal and the horses are happy athletes, when they just get their breaks properly and the use is not very high intense on every lesson, and food and everything is in balance. I did not see any problems with that in Seven Oaks. Pam would recommend very polished and smooth aids with the horses and was careful to see that the right discipline was used when the horses were ridden. She was otherwise also very nice person!
