  On September 19, 2026, I arrived on time for my dog’s 3:30 p.m. grooming appointment, but the staff refused to bathe and shave him. I was told the service would take four to six hours and that they would not have enough time before closing. I do not understand why Petco offers a 3:30 appointment for this service if the groomers are unable or unwilling to complete it. The employee was dismissive and repeatedly gave me unprofessional looks. She also said my dog was too excited. I explained that he is always excited when he first arrives at the groomer but normally calms down, as documented on his previous grooming report cards. He is professionally groomed at the Blossom Hill location every two weeks as they can see on his record, so this is not a new experience for him. I even asked whether they could provide only a bath, but that request was also refused, despite the store closing at 6:00 p.m. No effort was made to offer an alternative service or accommodate us. I was simply told to take my dog home and return another day. I had scrambled to get my children, my dog, and everything else ready so that I could arrive on time. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to have my appointment refused because the staff believed the scheduled service would take too long. If there is not enough time to perform a service, that appointment time should not be offered. The dismissive and unprofessional way the situation was handled made the experience even worse And the response to this review is ridiculous of course it’s to the store, instead of some type of management. Whoever answered the phone was not helpful and had no idea why I was calling or who she should let me speak with. These responses are a joke or they probably expect people to call. Literally, no professionalism at all.

  This is my store. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Great selection. I never thought I would have a favorite pet store. Thank you!
