  Updated Review: If google allowed 3.5 stars, that is how I would rate this vet practice. We had good vet care for our dog and a bit of a run around with admin. Since our previous review, the billing issue has been resolved. For other pet owners, I recommend asking for an estimate and checking their online pharmacy before filling in a prescription in person. We have liked the vets we have worked with. Previous review: Unfortunately, we experienced high medicine prices. We were charged $109 for a medication that has historically costed less than $35. Their own online pharmacy charged $17 for the same medication plus shipping. When I asked about the price differential, the office said they charge $25 to fill the prescription in person. When we were charged $109 a different visit, we were credited back the cost and were told they made a mistake. Because of the helpful customer service at the time, we were willing to refill the medication. After our most recent visit, we noticed the high price that they corrected in the past. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, that they raised their prices, and the other representative shouldn't have credited our account. We had no issue with the vet care for our pet.

  This place has been caring for my furry friends since I was a young boy. Recently, they assisted me with after death services for my childhood kitty. After it was all said and done, they sent me a handwritten card offering their condolences. Trust me when I say, you won’t find a more caring team anywhere else.

  Dr. Fluegge is a wonderful veterinarian who we’ve come to trust with caring for our dogs. She explains things clearly, provides options and is thoughtful during critical times.

  This practice should have its license revoked. My vet was out of town, so I made an appointment with Burbank for the vet to check a growth on my dog's chest. The vet looked at the growth, and without any pathology test, claimed it was malignant and quoted almost $3,000 to remove it. When I got home, I realized they hadn't given me a printout of the medical evaluation. I called Burbank and asked them to email me the vet's evaluation. I received a barely readable handwritten note claiming my dog had cancer on its thigh (which it did not). I asked them to send a typed copy for the correct dog. One month later I still haven't received anything. I took my dog to another vet where they did a cytology test that showed the growth is a histiocytoma, which will resolve on its own. It does not require surgery. Burbank is a disgrace.
