  TLDR; Mortifying experience after 20+ years, horrible front staff, run down. Dr Fluegge is their ONLY saving grace and she deserves a better practice. Pros: Dr. Fluegge - Knowledgeable, so sweet, willing to work with the budget, deeply loves all animals and it radiates from her. Vet techs - most of them are very sweet and warm. Cons: The place is extremely run down The front staff is incredibly rude They over charge Even in minor emergencies the wait times are weeks. I'm very sad to share that I will be leaving this hospital after 20+ years of being a client. Dr Fluegge is amazing but the rest of the hospital is not worth it. I took my 6yr old dog in for a visit and bloodwork, he received an exam while he was there and I paid a few hundred dollars. I kept receiving messages saying he was overdue for his annual exams but ignored them bc he had just been in. I took him back in for something unrelated and he was again checked out. I received two messages that day saying his exam was overdue! again I ignored it. I then called to have his prescription refilled and they said he needed an exam. I asked why he needed an exam when he was just in and they said his previous visits weren't labeled as an "annual exam" and so I had to come back. I went back in, saw the dr, she apologized and agreed it was a bit excessive but said that because she hadn't checked his ears in the previous visits, technically it wasn't a FULL exam. I went to pay and after waiting 10mins while the receptionist was finishing her own work, I asked her why the office was making me come back when even the Dr had apologized. She literally rolled her eyes, stood up, walked into the hall and YELLED "Brisket's owner is refusing to pay, what do you want me to do about her?" I then was mortified and was forced to loudly clarify, "that's not true at all, I was asking why I was forced to pay for a third exam". At this point, the other clients in the waiting room are staring, the doctor leaves a patient and comes out and clarifies again that she didn't check his ears and it's a requirement for his flea medicine renewal. I have since continued to receive reminder texts that my dog is overdue for an exam. even after requesting twice that they stop texting me. I have 5 other animals and I have never received a text for any of them.

  I have always liked this place as I have brought my fosters here and now my own dog as well. However, the receptionist with blonde hair (I think her name is Jill) really needs to learn how to talk. My dog needed a booster 3 weeks after the current dose and she gave me a date and I asked her if they have an appt the week after. To which she said, "are you telling me when will be 3 weeks?" And I had to correct her that the date she mentioned was actually 2 weeks later and not 3. If I had taken the date, they would have overdosed my dog! Beware of this woman. She was very rude on the phone too one time and i know it's her coz she has a very distinct voice!

  Updated Review: If google allowed 3.5 stars, that is how I would rate this vet practice. We had good vet care for our dog and a bit of a run around with admin. Since our previous review, the billing issue has been resolved. For other pet owners, I recommend asking for an estimate and checking their online pharmacy before filling in a prescription in person. We have liked the vets we have worked with. Previous review: Unfortunately, we experienced high medicine prices. We were charged $109 for a medication that has historically costed less than $35. Their own online pharmacy charged $17 for the same medication plus shipping. When I asked about the price differential, the office said they charge $25 to fill the prescription in person. When we were charged $109 a different visit, we were credited back the cost and were told they made a mistake. Because of the helpful customer service at the time, we were willing to refill the medication. After our most recent visit, we noticed the high price that they corrected in the past. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, that they raised their prices, and the other representative shouldn't have credited our account. We had no issue with the vet care for our pet.

  This place has been caring for my furry friends since I was a young boy. Recently, they assisted me with after death services for my childhood kitty. After it was all said and done, they sent me a handwritten card offering their condolences. Trust me when I say, you won’t find a more caring team anywhere else.

  Dr. Fluegge is a wonderful veterinarian who we’ve come to trust with caring for our dogs. She explains things clearly, provides options and is thoughtful during critical times.
