We are out of the country, so my mother-in-law brought our diabetic cat in for a mass growing inside him. He was seen by Dr. Emily Hwang and was there for ten hours. Ten hours, and he came home with no evaluation and no answers, just a suggestion to bring him back the next day and see our regular vet at that same office. If the plan was always to hand him to his own vet the next day, there was no reason to keep a sick cat in a cage all day to get there.
Then they handed him back to her soaked in his own urine, sitting in a carrier that was just as wet. He is skin and bones and diabetic, and frequent urination comes with that. Nobody thought to wipe him down before sending him out the door. She was so upset by the state of him that she called us and begged us never to take him there again.
What stung most was being made to feel like we are not doing enough for him. This cat has our entire household organized around him. Insulin on the clock, glucose checks day and night, feedings scheduled, everyone pitching in. We love him and we have given up a lot to keep him here. Hearing otherwise, after a day like that, was the last thing we needed.

I've been taking my little Frenchie her name is Chula to Banfield for some time now years and every time I go they fully explain to me everything that's going on and they share what they think would be best for her and the doctor always comes out I'm sure it's everything with me

I removed my previous review, but recent events left me no choice but to share my experience. While this Banfield location initially provided great care, poor communication and a dangerous reaction have forced me to stop going here.
My dog went in for an ultrasound and routine vaccinations. The staff asked if we wanted the shots split or given all at once. Because my dog usually handles vaccines well, we did them together. Unlike other Banfield locations that monitor pets for a few hours afterward, they sent her home immediately. Within 20 minutes, my dog suffered severe facial swelling and itching, requiring an emergency rush back for oxygen and a steroid shot. The front desk clerk blamed me, stating, "And so now next time, you don't do all the shots at once."
After her last visit, staff told me to schedule a follow-up ultrasound for the next month. When I called to book it, a staff member claimed they do not perform ultrasounds and told me to go to an outside clinic instead—even though my dog just had one done there. The same person then claimed my notes actually called for a radio exam, quoting me roughly $400 for the exam plus another $200 for results, compared to the $80 I originally paid for the ultrasound.
Constant miscommunication and rude staff have made it clear I cannot trust this location with my dog's health anymore. I will not be returning.

Amazing staff and amazing manager. I loved how the nurse who took in my pet also discharged them. I really felt like they were in amazing hands. The receptionist are always so kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Yesterday, I dropped Johnny off at 10 a.m. for a simple follow-up. He was fasting in case a foxtail removal procedure was needed, but it was mainly just to check his paw. By 1 p.m., I called and was told they hadn’t even looked at him yet but expected to finish by 5 p.m. By nearly 4 p.m., I called again, no answer. So I went in. They said they hadn’t checked him all day and asked me to return the next day. I was truly frustrated. When they brought Johnny out, he was extremely stressed, rushing out to relieve himself. The lack of communication and care from the team was unacceptable. I had to chase every update myself.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
