Awesome! Second time visiting for my pets and they took care of Bertie very quickly (I also came in when there was no one in line so I got lucky with walk in - I was in at 3pm and done before 4pm). Staff was very sweet. It was around what I expected for a ER visit ($400-500). Luckily I have pet insurance through Lemonade so it was able to cover 90%. If you have Lemonade, they’ll be able to take care of claims from this clinic no problem.

I try to be as impartial as possible, I’ve read some previous reviews and I try to see it from both sides, but it’s just really hard to justify how this vet functions. Pricing wise yes they are extremely expensive and I’ve seen the owners replies to other reviews and although I think their responses are terrible PR wise, I can somewhat see where they are coming from. Expensive area, equipment, staff, sure. I do believe there are cases where this vet does good work. The main issue is the service itself in relation to the price. I want to believe that all the members of the vet mean well, but I do agree their actions are scammy/predatory. I called initially and told the symptoms, the receptionist told me yeah that’s easy. Really common and to just bring the animal in and they can tell you right away due to it being so common. I get there and they tell me we don’t know it could be a bunch of stuff and then say all these tests to do. I ask them what is most important and they say to do the xray. Obviously the consultation fee is kind of stupid, but okay we do it. They come back and they say yeah this tells us nothing new and all we know is that there is liquid inside. Okay…over 1000 down the drain for what? They then suggest we do the other tests. We decide to do just the liquid test and not to do the blood test as they said it’s just recommended and not required. Another 400+ for that. I call a couple days later to ask about the color of the liquid so I can understand the issue better and they won’t tell me that information, but the prescription is actually ready and just needs a doctor to read it out to me, but I cant read it myself. Okay…sure…they tell me it would be ready the same day. Nope. I call the next day. “We’ll leave a note” okay fine. “Couldn’t get to it, but it’ll be ready tomorrow morning and you can pick it up whenever”. Cool. I go to the vet and they say “it’s actually not ready, someone needs to write it up, but it’ll be ready by 5. “ annoying but okay. Get a call later that day where they said, “actually we won’t give it to you, you need to do the blood test, it’s required now.” … like what? Like I really want to be understanding, but I feel like you NEED to see it from my point of view. This is the same model as real life scams that try to wring as much money from people as possible. Even before they told us they wouldn’t give our report, we already decided we wouldn’t come back just because of high pricing, but there was no bad blood, but after that I felt forced to write a review. Edit: (with owner reply) I understand that you can recommend certain actions and I welcome professional opinion. But at the end of the day it should be our decision on how we proceed with our pet. We paid you to provide us with a diagnosis and you won’t deliver on that. Not providing the prescription is one thing, but also refusing to let us see or explain the report that we paid for is another thing. Additionally you really have to get your front desk and doctors on the same page. When I am told all these “false” things I then have expectations. When I am then told later that none of it is true, it leaves a sour taste. If I am told over the phone that it is almost guaranteed to be this disease (very low chance of it being anything else due to all these factors) and that I can do a blood test but it would be unnecessary, then that’s my expectation. Coming back later and saying “the doctor refuse to provide it anymore” because there is some arbitrary chance of it not being received well is misleading. So my experience just ends up feeling like they care more about meeting certain money quotas rather than my pets wellbeing.

The technicians are amazing. They truly care. My concern and reason for the low rating is because of the way the doctor handled the situation that I just experienced. My cat was very sick and they painted a picture of recovery for me. That was not what needed to be done. The entire situation that we were dealing with was one of goodbye. I know we want to be optimistic, but doctors are here to be realistic. No one had the conversation with me about end stages of life. No one prepared me for what to look for. I felt very pushed out because I was very emotional. The vet even had to call me out and tell me NOT to focus on the numbers, but on the cat who appeared to be fine. This is practically word for word. I felt that because they didn't want to deal with my emotions, the hard conversations were not had because I was deemed unable to handle it. But that is what I needed. I had 12 days of approaching a situation from a standpoint of recovery. If I had been told what to look for in terms of what a "decline" is, I would have treated the situation very differently. I would not have tried to get my girl to get better. I would have had the ability to say goodbye. I would have had the last possible bonding moments with my 14-year-old girl. I could have given her people food. I could have for given her everything that she loved even though she couldn't have it. I missed out on those bonding moments because I approached the situation as one that she could come back from. From the start, this was never the case. All of this to say, I do not trust this vet to be transparent with me. I know I could have gotten a third or fourth opinion. I got a third, too late. And they told me straight how it was. With the numbers that my cat was showing on her blood work, she had days left. I was told to wait 2 weeks and retest her as long as I didn't see a decline. I wasn't in a proper headspace to ask the appropriate questions. When you're losing the very thing that kept you alive, one doesn't have the proper functions or facilities to ask the right questions. Doctors should be able to have the hard conversations. I felt pushed out due to timing (their shift was already over when I was picking my girl up) as well as emotions. Get more professional opinions. Do the research. Don't assume that they can come back from what they are experiencing, even if a picture of recovery is painted for you from the first. Don't do what I did. Don't trust them. Edit: I can't respond to review responses. But I must ask, what is the point of me coming in just to have you guys tell me what I could have done? Just to make me feel worse about the situation? There is nothing that you could offer me that would make that worth the pain that I would feel. Your doctor pushed me out. No one took the time to explain the situation to me and how dire it truly was. I had to request medical records! Normally those would be sent to my primary care doctor immediately, but they never were. It was on me to request and send. I never got told a prognosis. I never got told about end of life care. And I blame the doctor for my loss of my last moments with my girl. There is nothing that you guys can do that can make this situation better. Other than refunding the egregious bill that y'all racked up with "life-saving care". But I know that the greed will never allow that. So tell me, why should I spend that time with you guys? Why should I torture myself? I left this review in hopes that other people will read it and see that this place is not the place to go for emergency care. Especially since y'all can't even seem to figure out how to change your hours. I picked you guys because I thought you closed at 1:00 a.m. only to be pushed out at 10:00PM, while watching multiple other people who needed help get turned away because you were closed. At least it looks like y'all got that covered. Congrats.
