  I always had great experiences with petco grooming until this last time. The girl we were using is no longer there so we went with someone else. I explained my puppy’s anxiety and how the other person was able to help him. However upon pickup his coat was spotty not clean cut and they said he barked and scared the other groomer and they cut another dog and that dog had to go to the vet because of it. Dogs bark and groomers should be prepared for anything. They told us he could not go back to them due to the other dog getting hurt. I do not agree I think they just didn’t have experienced enough people. I have called and left messages for a manager to call me back every day since then and no one ever calls back. I would not have given such a large tip had I have seen my dog prior to paying but that’s not the process. I won’t do that again

  I took my puppy for a full service and de shedding which I was happy with the service. My puppy seemed happy and not scared. The stylist did mention he was a little hesitant with the nail trimming which I understand but that left his nails completely jagged. I have cuts on my legs from him just sitting on me in the car and more from him jumping on me using his paws which had never happened prior to the service or with my previous dog (who I used petco grooming with as well) I’m just sensing a buffing of the nails was missed after the trimming but that’s all.

  I brought my dog in today for a nail trim and buff, and unfortunately this experience—along with a recent visit—has been very concerning. He has been going to Petco for nail trims for the past 8 years without any issues, but two weeks ago at a different Petco location, he had his first negative experience. Since then, he’s been more sensitive, which makes how today was handled even more disappointing. During this visit, I could hear him yelping and clearly in distress. When the groomer returned him to me, she said he “wasn’t a nice guy” and that he wouldn’t allow her to buff his nails—but also mentioned that she brushed his teeth, which I did not request. On the car ride home, he was extremely stressed, which is very unlike him. When we got home, I discovered that five of his nails were bleeding—his quick had been cut on multiple nails. Given that, it’s no surprise he was upset. I’m also confused as to why teeth brushing would be attempted on an already distressed dog, especially when it wasn’t a service I asked for. Overall, this was a very upsetting experience, and I’m disappointed in how it was handled—especially for a dog who has had years of positive grooming visits prior to these last two.

  Meghan was amazing! Lucky is always anxious when going to the groomers… he’s a Dachshund and well I think that covers it haha. He doesn’t trust anyone and barks at everything and anyone! However Meghan was patient and got him all clean and smelling wonderful. Behind grateful!

  Megan is my favorite! She is so great with my pups. Their hair always looks amazing!! They never leave there stressed, she makes sure they’re taken care of and each are groomed beautifully!
