  As an organization that values animal welfare and responsible treatment of animals, Miss United Crown of America was extremely disappointed to see Petco’s “Desk Pets” display. Animals are not décor, novelty items, or accessories for a workspace. Marketing living creatures in a way that can encourage impulse purchases or frame them as something cute to simply place on a desk sends the wrong message about the responsibility that comes with animal ownership. Every animal deserves an appropriate habitat, proper care, enrichment, and an owner who has taken the time to understand its needs. We believe a company whose business centers around pets should be leading the way in responsible education, not reducing animals to a trend or aesthetic. We sincerely hope Petco reconsiders this campaign and places animal welfare and responsible ownership at the center of its messaging.

  This Petco had what we needed, but most importantly is staffed by thoughtful and kind people. Without going into detail, I bought something on the expensive side for a sick pet, and sadly, that pet shortly after succumbed to her illness. Even though they absolutely did not need to, the staff at this Petco stood up and took actions that could only have come about because they cared about me as a customer. Kelsey, you have my business for good!

  The employees at Petco are incredible. They have always been helpful and full of useful information. The employees, manager all get 5 stars but corporate Petco needs to assure customers that it has cut ties with Marshall and ALL companies who test products on animals. Seems logical right? Chewy did it, will Petco?

  I came in for a routine booster shot for my boy Archie. They were fantastic; quick, and efficient without rushing. I specifically loved Ilana(I don't know if I'm remembering or spelling her name correctly). She was so patient with all of my questions and explained what to look for with any complications and helped schedule my next visit. Yes, all these things are her job, but her attitude and the care she took for the nervous momma and my baby kitten were amazing. Thank you again, I'll definitely be back!
