Your associates were unwilling to drop what they were doing (putting up stock) to help me understand and make choices between the variety of products available. I found them to be indifferent to me as a customer. Infuriating!!!

They didn't have a Hills Science Prescription Diet dog treat I was looking for but sent me to Petsmart where they luckily had it.

Some days are good others are strange. Staff moods vary as well as their return policy’s based on who is at the register.

As an organization that values animal welfare and responsible treatment of animals, Miss United Crown of America was extremely disappointed to see Petco’s “Desk Pets” display. Animals are not décor, novelty items, or accessories for a workspace. Marketing living creatures in a way that can encourage impulse purchases or frame them as something cute to simply place on a desk sends the wrong message about the responsibility that comes with animal ownership. Every animal deserves an appropriate habitat, proper care, enrichment, and an owner who has taken the time to understand its needs. We believe a company whose business centers around pets should be leading the way in responsible education, not reducing animals to a trend or aesthetic. We sincerely hope Petco reconsiders this campaign and places animal welfare and responsible ownership at the center of its messaging.
