  Nah. Skip petco on Arden in Sacramento. (we lost our groomer of 18yrs so looking for a new place and private groomers have been hard to get in to see.) Therefore, i made an appt at the Arden store and tried taking my fur baby here, but they immediately called me and said that they would only be PARTIALLY grooming her because—GET THIS—she sits and trembles a bit. They cited safety as their reason. lol It’s disconcerting to think that the team there couldn’t handle 8lb 18yo fur baby. Whatever. the following week i took her to PetSmart on Watt and my little girl now has a new FABULOUS team that can groom her.

  Everytime I go in there all of the employees are very helpful and love on our pets when we bring them with us.

  Never coming back ★☆☆☆☆ This location would normally be a 4-star experience for me, but tonight it dropped to one star entirely because of a cashier named Autumn. The interaction started awkwardly when she asked for my phone number without explaining it was for the rewards program. When I didn’t respond right away, she repeated the request a second time in a tone that came off as if I hadn’t understood. Once she finally mentioned it was for rewards, I asked for the details before deciding whether to join. She briefly explained it while ringing me up. I declined, but a friend with me asked if she could repeat the information so he could understand it as well. Autumn refused and said, “That’s over. You don’t get to do that.” At that point I told her the response felt rude. Instead of de-escalating, Autumn actively escalated the situation, accusing me of being rude and turning what should have been a simple conversation into an argument. After spending around $300 in the store and having an otherwise great experience, that interaction completely soured the visit. She even went so far as to claim I had threatened her, which simply wasn’t true. The result? I canceled my plans to return, scrapped a follow-up visit, and even threw away a prescription I had intended to fill there. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. I’m currently at Banfield Pet Hospital and will be taking my business to PetSmart going forward. It’s disappointing when one employee’s behavior can undo an otherwise good experience. Management should take a serious look at how situations like this are handled, because one interaction like this is enough to permanently lose a customer.
