I received my kitty in a beautiful little urn that I can place on nightstand. I was surprised to receive a paw print and a lovely certificate about his passing date. My kitty came in a navy blue velvet bag with the urn inside along with the envelope in a beautiful quality linen gift bag. I just thought how beautiful it was to receive his ashes so well put together in this gift bag.

I've waited a little bit to write this review since I wanted to give it some time to let myself settle mentally/emotionally to write something that will hopefully help someone who may be in a similar position to myself. My TLDR is that I don't think this is the solution for everyone; since there are some parts to it that some may find hard to stomach and it's not cheap. But for those of you in similar situations to myself; I hope that my experience can help inform you if this is the right decision for you. I will detail what I remember the best I can and I hope that you are able to determine that for you and your loved baby. I'm also sorry that you have to read this because I'm assuming that you've also gone through the worst kind of heartbreak as well to be looking at this. A year ago I lost my sweetest baby boy; and it was so out of the blue that I was unable to process or accept letting him go in any way shape or form. Out of desperation I searched for ways where I didn't have to part with him AT ALL, even for just a few hours. I didn't want him anywhere out of my sight; and that was how I found this place and learned about private cremation. I watched the video on their website from the news(?) and got a general gist of what I was to expect; and called them once I was as ready as I could be. From the first phone call to when I left; the lady who took care of us was extremely compassionate and gave me all the time I needed to say good bye to my sweet angel. I really really needed those hugs, and I'm so sorry that I can't quite remember your name; but thank you so much. Those hugs meant more to me than you know. As we sat down we talked through the different options and the pricing of all of the different things we could do for him and for us like paw prints, urn options, etc. Private cremation is not cheap; and it's for a reason. On the premises I pretty much only saw a few staff folks and otherwise it was just my family and my baby boy; and boy did I cry shamelessly. (I was later informed by my mother that the staff lady actually stopped my family from trying to get me to stop crying to continue moving on with the process.) They really gave me ample time and space to process what I could in that moment whenever I needed it. Once we finished all the optional stuff (I got a few paw prints and even a little muzzle print), we moved onto the cremation and after that it's a bit of a blur for me. After some amount of time he came out of the fire and to avoid being too graphic I'll skip the details but we watched the process of him through being put into a temporary urn. You don't have to watch the whole time, but you do have the option to (we did). I got one of their customizable wooden urn because I found the design to be absolutely beautiful(and one of their designs looked just like my boy); but it did take a little bit of time and the first nameplate was incorrect at first. They fixed it and sent it back to me soon after though and my boy has been resting in it since. Losing a pet is a rough rough time; and it's really easy to get upset/sad about the minute details in the moments. But I can say for sure that after a full year I stand by my choice and I do not regret my decision in choosing this place, with private cremation; and I am very grateful for the peace of mind the process gave me during a time of extreme distress. So for me, it was worth every single penny. I apologize for how long this review is; but lastly if you are reading this because you're looking to consider this as an option, I'm sorry for your loss and I hope this helps you make a decision. To the Monterey Bay Loved Pet staff and the lady who took care of us; thank you so much for everything.

I had a truly heartfelt experience at Lovedpet. From the moment I arrived, it felt like a sanctuary. The free-roaming chickens, roosters, peacocks, and even other bunnies all create this warm, home-like environment. My sales representative, Megan, was so kind and supportive during a difficult time, and this sense of peace and care made all the difference. I highly recommend them to anyone; it’s not just a facility—it’s a place where you feel truly at peace.

My experience with Megan here at LovedPets was amazing. My husband and I are moving from Japan (where our dog passed away) to Florida but did a stop in Monterey for a wedding. During this transit, my dog's urn unsealed, making it no longer safe for her to travel the rest of the way to Florida. We were only there for a few days, and did not have much time. I called LovedPet, Megan answered right away, and told me to come over and she will help. Not only did she provide us a safe wooden box the same day (it was ready in 30 minutes) but she also wrapped it for safe travels. She handled everything so gently, took good care of our girl, and even placed her in a safe bag that fit inside the box. Megan is such a sweet person. We hit it off as if we were friends, and it made the experience much more comforting and enjoyable. Karma would love this place. I highly recommend coming here for your fur baby's cremation services.
