    I made an appointment for 12:10 pm so my dog to get flea and tick meds at Vetco. Showed up in store at 12:05 pm, waited for the girl, who was talking to person in front of us for 3 or so minutes, to check us in. Then, we were told that because she was checking us in at 12:12 pm, they could not see our dog. Wth? We waited while this woman was talking to another person for several minutes. We were there on time in the store waiting in line and were turned away. I cannot help but wonder if this has to do with our appearance, with our small dog, with anything other than the fact that she checked us in 2 minutes later. I will be contacting their corporate offices, in addition to the local NAACP. We have been bringing our dog to Vetco amd Petco in Washinton state since he was a puppy. I'm disappointed that this is the treatment in California. I would leave negative stars if I could. Do better Petco smh

    I was happy with the quality of the grooming itself, but the overall experience was disappointing. Apparently, two staff members either quit or called out that day, which left them very short staffed. Unfortunately, instead of adjusting or limiting appointments, wait times became much longer than expected. After waiting 2½ hours, I checked in and was met with a frustrated and somewhat rude response from one of the employees. That was also the first time I was informed they were understaffed. Had they communicated upfront that the appointment would take significantly longer than normal, I would have adjusted my expectations, made other arrangements, or rescheduled. I completely understand that staffing issues happen, but clear communication and a more customer-service-oriented response would have made a big difference.

    Petco grooming was great. They do an exceptional job, bathing my dog and taking care of him while they have him. I will be going back there and I strongly recommend to anybody that needs dog grooming to go to Petco
