Deworming

Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are available at Banfield Pet Hospital®. Administering vaccines is a preventative health care measure that can help protect pets against various diseases, such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my kitten received at Banfield. I made an appointment when my kitten was about seven weeks old because she had suddenly become very lethargic and was sleeping far more than normal. I was also concerned because her belly was noticeably swollen and round. During the appointment, I explained both concerns to the veterinarian. I was told that my kitten was perfectly healthy and that she was simply getting used to our home and calming down. I was also told that her swollen belly would go down after she ate. Just four days later, my kitten suffered a seizure and had to be rushed to an emergency veterinarian. We learned that she was severely hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and required hospitalization, IV fluids, and dextrose treatment. After spending thousands of dollars trying to save her, we brought her home. Less than 12 hours later, she crashed again and we ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize her. What made this experience even worse was what happened afterward. When I called Banfield to cancel her follow-up appointment and wellness plan because she had passed away, I was told I owed an additional $200 because there was a difference in the cost of the “comprehensive exam” she had received. I had to argue with customer service about being charged more money for an exam that concluded my kitten was perfectly healthy just days before she became critically ill and died. Losing a pet is devastating. Being asked for additional payment immediately after informing the clinic that my kitten had died felt incredibly insensitive. Based on my experience, I would not trust Banfield with another animal. I left that appointment believing my kitten was healthy when she was clearly very sick.

I’m DONE with this wannabe pet care facility! My dog it’s the SECOND TIME that he goes to a rutine check up and for the SECOND TIME! I ask them to cut my dogs nails.. he is bleeding profusely!!! My home full of blood everywhere but I don’t care about the mess! I care about the lack of professionalism in that crappy place! Really?? They not even know how to cut dog nails ? This has happen to me TWICE! Do they know how much this hurts to dogs? Do they even CARE!! I’m truly upset about this neglect place! I will take this to the proper authorities to do something about this place! Avoid taking your loved one there.
