Jessica, the nurse who took care of Chia, was amazing. She explained everything clearly, kept us updated, and answered all of our questions. You can really tell she genuinely cares about the pets she works with, which made us feel so comfortable. Thank you to the whole team for taking such great care of Chia. We’ll definitely be bringing both Chia and Boulder, back for their future visits! 🐱🐶
- VAValerie AlcarazJul 20, 20261.0It’s unfortunate I have to write this because I have actually enjoyed my time with most of the staff at this Banfield. However my dog died this weekend and I found out I have to keep paying on her Optimum Wellness plan or pay the total balance of services we already used this year in excess of $900. This means I will continue to pay for insurance for my deceased dog for the next 6-7 months. I urge you not to enroll in this plan or seek pet insurance elsewhere to spare yourself the unfathomable heartbreak associated with the monthly reminder of losing your best friend. My fault for not reading the fine print 7 years ago and all I’ve used the insurance for is yearly checkups and dentals, but this is definitely not a company service I would recommend.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
