  We have been using Petco Grooming for about a year in Redlands. This last experience was awful and we will be finding a new groomer. First, we made the appt online and confirmed by text. They called the day before to see if we were coming because they had a big waitlist. The groomer was really rude when we dropped him off. She went over him and said he had a lot of matting. This was not true, we had been brushing him 2-3 times a week. He had less matting than he had ever had. She finished in two hours and it usually takes 4. Then at pick up she charged us $22 extra for the "matting" she claimed he had. On top of everything, he's been home one day and is already shedding all over the house. He has never done this before. He has never shedded for several weeks after being groomed. Allysa did a terrible job and has ruined this groomer for us. I would not take a pet for grooming.

  They have a large variety to choose from but they do tend to be out of stock of popular pet food/treats. Also curbside pickup isn't curbside. Their curbside pickup is more like a pickup at the front of the store on a hidden self thats located in a corner next to the pets up for adoption. Its not the biggest deal but misleading on its description lol. I had to stand on a line just for an employee to point it to me and question me on a item I wanted to return. I just grabbed my stuff and left.

  I love shopping at Petco. I have been shopping here for over 20 years. I continue to shop because of a good quality products and their low prices. Being on a fixed budget is not easy and my animals are very important to me. I just wish I was sent more coupons for health science diet.

  Store is great and clean. They have some amenities that others don’t have which is cool! Only thing was that most employees at this store went on break at the same time ( saw about 4 outside). Needed help locating some things. Along with that I had to remind them I had points, usually they manually input them but I had to remind them but other than than good. Would be 4/5 but yeah

  I’ve been meaning to leave this review since my visit on May 30, 2026, because I really wanted to recognize Charles for the great customer service he provided during checkout. Charles was very kind, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the entire checkout experience. Great customer service can sometimes be hard to come across nowadays, so when someone goes out of their way to make a simple interaction feel welcoming and positive, I believe it deserves to be acknowledged. What I appreciated most about Charles was that his kindness did not feel forced or like he was simply going through the motions—it felt genuine. He was attentive, respectful, and made me feel valued as a customer. I hope Petco recognizes employees like Charles who demonstrate what good customer service should look like. I also hope he can serve as a great example, especially for newer and younger employees who are still developing their customer service skills. There is such a difference between simply doing the job and genuinely making a customer feel welcomed and appreciated, and Charles definitely did the latter. Thank you, Charles, for making my checkout experience such a positive one! Your kindness and great customer service did not go unnoticed.
