  The vet didn’t take the time to examine my dog correctly, forgot to administer a required deworming treatment, and there were multiple mistakes throughout the process, which meant extra trips to the clinic, unnecessary stress, and absolutely no sense of accountability. I was passed from one person to another instead of anyone actually taking responsibility and helping me.

  Choosing to put a 1 star so the rude technician’s attitude gets addressed, once it does I would love to switch back to a 5 star review. Please see below how my experience was. I brought my and my mom’s cats in for appointments today, and overall I had a positive experience. The receptionist who checked me in for my first appointment was friendly, and Jerry, the veterinary technician, was wonderful. He was incredibly gentle with Socks, took his time with him, and did a great job explaining the wellness plan options. My only negative experience was with veterinary technician Evelyn Moreno during my second appointment with Papas. There was some confusion regarding a promotional exam coupon. I simply asked a question because I had been told over the phone that each cat could use their own coupon. Instead of taking a moment to understand the situation, I felt like she immediately assumed I was trying to scam the clinic. Her tone and attitude made me feel judged rather than helped. Had she been a little more patient, she would have learned that Papas is technically my mom’s cat. He splits his time between my home and my mom’s, which is why I asked whether the mailing address made a difference. I never even got the chance to explain because I felt shut down before I could finish my question. At that point, I simply decided to pay for the exam and move on. I also noticed a significant difference in how she handled my cat. She was very forceful when trying to take Papas’s temperature, and he became so uncomfortable that he wouldn’t let her do it. After she left the room, another technician, Luis (another vet technician), came in. He immediately took a much calmer, gentler approach, let Papas sniff the thermometer first, and was able to take his temperature without any problems. The difference in their handling of my cat was night and day. I truly appreciated the care I received from everyone else, especially Jerry and Luis. They were kind, patient, and compassionate with my cats. My only recommendation would be for Evelyn Moreno to receive additional training in customer service and low-stress animal handling. Every pet owner deserves to have their questions answered without being made to feel dishonest, and every animal deserves to be handled with patience and care.

  While the customer service here was great the services to examine my pets for flea and heartworm medication was not professionally done and very lazy. I paid a total of $260. And the only examination my cats received was A breathing check, their weight measured, and their teeth checked. Not to mention I was told by the professional that cats don't really get heartworms and in his 5 years of experience he hasn't really had to deal with that. I felt like he just wanted to move on and was very lazy. I was robbed. Mind you I went to vetco in Burbank 2 months before and the vets there were very attentive they checked everything professionally and even gave me a printout of proof of the processes they did. While I was over there I let them know since they were the only ones open when I have to do a follow-up for my kitten can I just go to the one that's closer in Pasadena they said yes but they recommend coming back to them. Since one of my cats that he was already examined I didn't have to pay another fee for another examination to get prescribed the flea medication. The Burbank vetco was honest and the one in Pasadena was very dishonest. When I asked the lady for a refund from one of my cats because of the situation she said sorry we work independently and we have different doctors..... I'm sorry what I'm confused??? A vet is a vet I'm honestly very concerned with how vet practices are in our days it feels like you get nickeled and dimed with a lot of negligence done. I also noticed how there's no cameras in any of the clinical rooms to ensure proper practices and no harm or abuses being done to your pets. I guarantee they don't set up cameras so they don't get held liable for any wrongdoing by their employees. It's sad that I had to experience this and pay $200 for a professional not to professionally do his job. This is the first lengthy review I've ever posted because I cherish and love my cats and felt betrayed by people who I should trust with my animals
