  I took my Abigail in for a wellness exam. Everybody in the office was very friendly and welcoming. Her Vet tech and her Vet were both very professional and very kind with my girl. Abigail is a large German Shepherd and she looks intimidating....after our visit, the staff loves her. We definitely have a new veterinary clinic we will be going to. Thanks to the entire staff... Abigail says thanks too.

  I went to the hospital for a free appointment for flea medication for my dog, and I asked for his toenails to be clipped. They gave me an estimate of $49.22. I was kind of dumbfounded, but I said yes. As they walked away with my dog, I googled Petco nail trim and they charge $12 at the Grooming area. I was mad about paying that price for nail trim, but I was told you I did and done at the hospital. I guess that’s special.Subsequently my dog came out, and I noticed that his nails didn’t look that great but on the way home, they completely missed one of du paws and his nails were really rough cut. Then I noticed that two of his nails were not cut properly. When I called and complain, the guy told me that he was holding my dog while the tech was trying to cut the nails. I said why didn’t you put him in a sling and he said that they don’t have that at the hospital. Look my friend and I can hold my dog and cut his nails and get the same results my thought was that a nail trimming included putting him in a sling so he can’t fight you well apparently he was fighting them back in the area where they cut his nails. Well f I can do that at home and save the $50. Really disappointed when I called there and the guy said well you approved the nail cutting estimate. Yes I did, but I did expect it to be done correctly and not have my dog struggling in someone’s arms of course he’s gonna struggle. I assumed incorrectly that he would be in a sling where it’s very easy to cut his nailsHe doesn’t know this person so completely unhappy with the way my dog was treated and with the price. I expect a beyond excellent job at $50! The guy I spoke to said well your dog was struggling with us. I was holding him and I was taken back because it’s like don’t you put them in a sling? Oh no, we don’t do that. They do that in grooming but grooming charges $12 we charge 50.So Petco hospitals is not where you get your dogs nails cut and what a rip off for the doctor to say it’s $50 because I took them up on their free visit. I would not recommend that you go there at all go to a real vet. Dangerous For your dog and your pocketbook

  All the staff waere very considerate and efficient. We were very impressed with Dr. Wicklund-Blhut. He explained everything in detail and was very kind to our cat. He is obviously an experience that because he zoned right in on the correct diagnosis for our pet. We highly recommend him and the entire staff at Petco on Vista Avenue in Oceanside.
