  We’ll be joining the staff who appear to be leaving Seaside AH. We’ve spent $XXXXs on our pet at Seaside and got the very best from techs, Dr Colloca and admin staff. Since our last prescription refill (sent electronically to Costco to save a few $), Costco pharmacy said Seaside won’t authorize a refill any longer. Spoke to Seaside, they said patients must now use the pharmacy Seaside has a business arrangement with. Told us we had to come to the clinic to pick up a written prescription and take the Costco pharmacy. It’s only a 25-30 mile round trip for us from Cardiff to O’side/San Marcos area, then to the zoo at Costco on a Monday. The loss of our continued potential revenue stream (as our pet ages) over a $140 medication is a bizarre that one doesn’t need an MBA to figure out. I asked and received our pet’s medical records by email as we have so many other consumer friendly vet options locally.

  They were able to get us in right away for an emergency visit for our dog. They were very accommodating, very friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end of our visit. When we got there, we could tell the entire staff from the front staff, back staff (vet techs) and doctor really cared and showed real concern about our furbaby’s health. We highly recommend this Animal Hospital.

  I won’t be returning to Surfside again. I received a call last Tuesday letting me know my dog was due for vaccinations. I told the receptionist I was fine scheduling, but only wanted Jessica to handle my dog since she was the only one he was comfortable with during previous visits. I was then told their system was down and that someone would call me back within 24 hours. I didn’t hear back until Thursday, when I was informed that Jessica no longer works there, and neither does Dr. Collaca. This was really disappointing, as both were the main reasons I trusted bringing my dog here. The lack of communication and sudden staff changes without any notice have made me decide to take my business elsewhere.

  They were there in a very complicated moment. After my pups' passing, they sent me handwritten letters and were there for us. They were very humane and sensitive, and I appreciate that.
