I’ve taken pets to many veterinary clinics over the years. Nervous animals are normal. Scared kittens are normal.
What surprised me was how quickly this clinic seemed to blame a frightened kitten rather than reflect on whether the handling itself may have contributed to the situation.
We came in expecting routine preventive care and left feeling like we were the problem.
Not an experience I would recommend.

This was honestly one of the most upsetting veterinary experiences I have ever had.
I brought my kitten here for a routine FVRCP vaccination. I expected a simple preventive care visit. Instead, I left feeling shocked, stressed, and deeply uncomfortable with how my kitten was handled.
Before anything even happened, staff warned us not to take photos despite the fact that no one had even taken out a phone. The atmosphere immediately felt defensive and unwelcoming.
The most disturbing part occurred during the examination and vaccination. My kitten was restrained with what appeared to be excessive force. She screamed in a way I had never heard before. I understand veterinary professionals need to restrain animals for safety, especially when they are scared or struggling. However, there is a major difference between necessary restraint and handling that appears unnecessarily rough.
What bothered me most was not only the physical handling, but the complete lack of compassion, communication, or effort to reduce stress. Nobody explained what they were doing. Nobody tried to calm the situation. Nobody acknowledged how frightened the kitten was or how concerned we were as owners.
At the end of the visit, rather than having a professional discussion about future handling options, we were simply told that our kitten was too aggressive and that we should go somewhere else next time.
I've taken animals to veterinary clinics before. I've seen frightened pets, difficult pets, and stressed pets. What I have not seen before is staff who seemed this impatient, dismissive, and uninterested in making the experience safer and less traumatic for either the animal or the owner.
The pricing may be advertised as affordable, but after this experience I would gladly pay more for a clinic that treats animals gently, communicates professionally, and understands that scared kittens deserve patience rather than force.
I will not be returning.
