  Employee spreading dangerous misinformation that dogs should only eat grain-free food. That misinformation is what leads dogs into heart failure. I'm going to trust my vet with years of education and schooling, not some person trying to push dangerous quackery.

  Extremely disappointing experience I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Petco in Novato. I was refused service for my dog solely because of a pre-existing history of cancer, despite explaining that he has been completely cleared, is healthy, takes no medication, and has recent veterinary checkups and lab reports confirming his current health. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have been taking my dog to Petco locations every month and have never encountered this issue before. I provided the information they needed and explained his medical history, but I was still refused. I completely understand that businesses may have policies regarding certain medical conditions, but the way this was handled was incredibly frustrating and felt unreasonable given that my dog is currently healthy and cleared by his veterinarian. After being a loyal Petco customer and using other locations without any problems, this was an awful customer experience. I expected much better from Petco. I will seriously reconsider using this location again.

  Just went in to buy some dog food for my pup, bought two cans of science diet chicken stew flavor. Also bought a two pack of little toy hedge hogs. Left happy then checked my account saw I was charged about $24 called the store because I thought I was over charged asked if they could look up my phone number, recent transactions or my card just to check. The lady sighed really loud before putting me on hold. I waited and when she returned she explained what I had bought as seen on the receipt. She explained in a way that made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience for calling. I realized the toys were in the wrong spot and I must have looked at the wrong price. She repremanded me about looking at the sku number in what I felt was a rude manner I just had called to make sure I wasn't over charged and apologized that it was my misunderstanding. And without saying anything sat quite a moment then hung up. I've never had the kind of customer service and am discouraged about visiting this location again.

  I live in Petaluma but I prefer the Novato store. So much more organized and friendlier…… very much on a professional scale
