  I normally bring my dog to this location because they've always done a good job, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The groomer used clippers on my long-haired dachshund's coat. As a professional groomer, it's well known that clipping a double-coated dog can permanently affect the texture and growth of the coat. I was very clear when I dropped him off that I only wanted a trim, not for his coat to be clipped. To make matters worse, I left a voicemail requesting a call back from the salon manager, and it's now been two days without any response. The lack of communication has only added to my frustration. I'm incredibly disappointed with both the grooming service and the customer service I received.

  I came to Petco with a very specific request — a small aquarium setup for tiny turtles. I had already done my research and understood that I needed a low-profile tank. I also made it clear that I’m a flexible customer: I’m willing to buy what’s available and build the setup myself by purchasing the filter, rocks, and other items separately. There were tanks of different sizes in the store, and I offered to take one of them. However, the employee insisted on only one specific option from the turtle section, repeating that this exact size is required. At the same time, that size was not even available in the store. Every suggestion I made was met with “no, no, no,” without any attempt to help or offer alternatives. In the end, I was told to check Amazon because it’s cheaper. This is completely unacceptable. I came into the store ready to spend money, and instead of helping me, I was redirected somewhere else. There was also a clear staffing issue. One employee stayed at the register saying he couldn’t leave his position, another was somewhere on the floor not assisting, and no one could properly help. When they finally called someone, she came over but didn’t actually assist — just kept repeating “no, no, no.” It’s also obvious that the staff lack proper training and product knowledge. Employees should be trained to understand their inventory and to suggest alternatives, not just reject requests. The store sells tanks, filters, rocks, and accessories separately — it would have been easy to put together a suitable setup based on my request, but no effort was made. It felt like the employee simply didn’t care whether the store made a sale or not — just working by the hour with no involvement. I ended up leaving this large store frustrated and went to another Petco, because the level of service clearly depends on the staff. Management needs to review this specific location: check cameras, evaluate employee performance, and retrain the staff properly.

  Thank you Jessica for doing such a great job on Bruno. We are so happy you’re back. As everybody knows, Bruno is a difficult dog. Jessica has taught her Staff how to take special care of Bruno what to do and what not to do. Thank you for treating Bruno just like family.
