  I've been bringing Finnley to get groomed for years, and I've been happy with the service. Although Finnley hates bath time, he always comes out happy and clean, and I trust the staff at that Petco.

  I dropped off my puppy for his first bath and haircut. Before even trying the groomer said they could not cut my dog’s hair because he’s a puppy and would be scared of the shears. They said they would only cut his private area hair. They charged me $100 to bathe him, they did not cut his hair in his anal area, and his hair wasn’t brushed. I paid extra for a bandana and getting hair removed from his ears and his ears were hairy and they did not give him his bandana. When I called to express this the manager said they tend to forget the bandana and I could go back for it if I wanted. They said they couldn’t cut the hair because he was a puppy. The manager said I could come back if I wanted but what’s the point of a 3 hour appointment for $100 just for a bath? While there I also saw a dog fall or trip off the table and the groomer picked it up by pulling it by the leash so I most definitely would never bring my dog back to this location. The groomer and manager clearly did not care for my concerns

  I recently took my dog to Petco for grooming on February 8, 2026, and unfortunately it was not a good experience. I dropped her off to be groomed by Kayla, but when I returned, I’m honestly not sure if she was the one who finished the grooming. We were told to grab the receipt and go pay up front before even seeing our dog, and they immediately asked about leaving a tip before I had a chance to check how she looked. When I finally saw my dog, her face and ears were still frizzy, and once we got home I noticed an uneven clipper line under her chin where different blade lengths were clearly used. Her nails were cut but not properly filed, so they felt rough instead of smooth. She also smelled like she hadn’t been shampooed thoroughly. What concerns me most is her behavior afterward. Since the grooming appointment she’s been withdrawn, staying secluded, and even reluctant to go outside, which is completely opposite of her normal personality. Customer service also felt very rushed and uninterested, like they just wanted to move us through rather than make sure we were satisfied. I previously went to the Petco in Long Beach for grooming and had great experiences there, so this location was disappointing. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend this location.

  My dog, Frankie, always looks fresh when done. His coat is nice and shiny. The best thing, is they always do a fantastic job with his nails. I am very happy with my store groomers.
