  We had a small Yorkie wrapped in a blanket in the cart, and a girl came up to us while I was buying an expensive bag of dog food. And told us we had to put a leash on her. Seemed ridiculous.

  I bought something there for the very first time online. I found a better price somewhere else so I went to Petco in Merced to return the unopened kennel. I gave them my phone number because they asked for it.. They couldn’t find me even though that phone number is on my Petco account. I showed him my email invoice and it showed that I just bought it 3 days ago. The email showed the invoice number, my name, address and phone number. The manager said he couldn’t find it and handed me a receipt saying that he was unable to return it. When I told him I am able to return it it’s under 30 days. He cut me off and said look at the receipt And he actually looked like he expected me to accept that and leave with the kennel. I proceeded to show him the email again of the purchase and told him that there was no reason why it could not be returned. The manager decided to help 2 other customers, even though there was an employee right there. He was really hoping I would leave and not return it. It makes no sense why he didn’t want me to return it like I said it was in perfect condition But even if it wasn’t, I should be able to return it as it was a delivery. After The manager handed me the receipt and twice said, "The machine told me to give you this receipt, saying it cannot be returned” With me still not leaving he just stared at me. Then immediately he came back after checking out a different customer, he was able to return it And gave me the excuse of porch pirates even after I showed him my identification and my Petco app where the purchase was made. I feel this is predatory toward young people who do not know that you are allowed to return items, even if they are bought online. The manager behaved this way with an unopened item with all the correct information. I cannot imagine how he would act if it were an opened or damaged item.

  Went to buy my kids some glow fish was told need to bring in water sample before I could buy. Thank you @petsmart down the road better service and will have my business going forward
