  Informed staff and helpful during my visit. I also had to return an item and staff made it stress free which was very appreciated.

  I went to a petco store in Menifee, CA. I fell in line at the cashier line. There was only one cashier. I waited for about 7 minutes. When I approached the cashier to return a dead fish, she told me to go to the fish section to see the attendant there. I waited for about 15 minutes Finally the fish attendant showed up. She wouldn’t replace the dead fish that I had saying my water was bad and that she wouldn’t replace the fish till the water passes. I told her how many times would I go back to the store to know that my water passes. She said until my water passes. This was the first time I experienced this. Usually, my water get tested and my dead fish get replaced. The attendant would tell me how to take care of the problem and my fish gets repreplaced. This was a horrible experience. I went home without a replacement fish.

  I had the worst experience at this location yesterday. I shop here a lot and have had several unpleasant interactions with Debbie and the girl with red hair. The girl with the red hair has rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed at me more times than I can count at this point. I dont even like getting my fish here anymore because if she's the one that helps you, she will make darn sure you know what an inconvenience you are to her. Definitely dont ask for multiple fish from different tanks, thats when her eyes almost roll out of her head. I found out yesterday that she treats my friend and her 6yo daughter the same way every time as well. I went in yesterday and noticed a bird that was behaving strangely and it worried me. As I said, I have been in there a lot and never seen it act this way. I informed Debbie who brought the other girl along. I explained what I saw to them. It looked like he was having a seizure or some type of neurological issues with the way his neck/ head were twitching and how he was rolling halfway upside-down in a way that looked like he couldnt control. Im not a vet and im not saying that thats what happened, but it looked concerning. The second I walked away they started talking about how I dont know what im talking about and started laughing. I walked back over and elaborated what I witnessed. Debbie asked me a very condescending question that they found hilarious when I walked away again. I may not breed birds, but I have had them as pets most of my life. I have never seen any of my birds behave that way. My friend has also left a review about this terrible experience. They responded to it by asking her to call them. They have her THE STORE NUMBER! The very place that hired these people and manages them most of the time. The girl with red hair has the same attitude and look on her face every time me or my freind interact with her. There is no way they aren't seeing how terrible the customer service skill and lack of respect are. Yet she still works there making us uncomfortable every time I need to buy fish, cat litter, food, etc.. As for the manager Debbie? Why is someone in a management position saying nasty thing about customers and laughing about it with other employees? Shame on you all. You should all be sent to the Temecula location to see what customer service should look like.

  Debbie and the red headed woman who works in the fish department were horrible to my friend and I today as we were concerned about a sick bird. My friend has cared for birds her whole life and the woman and Debbie MOCKED her when she walked away and laughed at her. When she went back to say how she was aware how how sick birds look Debbie said “what do you breed birds or something?!” And then laughed in her face with the other employee. Disgusting. They should be fired for the way they treat customers. The red headed employee is always rolling her eyes and incredibly annoyed when you are trying to buy a fish ANY TIME OF DAY ANY DAY OF THE WEEK and she doesn’t discriminate either. She’ll be nasty to a little child too. But the young man working the front was very kind and listened to our complaints about his nasty manager Debbie and her nasty employee
