I came in with a scheduled appointment for a haircut and wash for my puppy, but the groomer (her name started with “A”) kept trying to add on extra services I didn’t ask for. When I declined, she wasn’t helpful or accommodating at all. I also mentioned that I didn’t want my puppy kept in a kennel for over an 1 hour like she mentioned, and she told me that would cost an additional $20 for VIP services). By that point, the total was approaching $100, which felt unreasonable for what I originally requested. On top of that, she said my pet would need to stay for over two hours, which wasn’t communicated beforehand. Overall, the experience felt frustrating and disappointing. Petco used to be one of my favorite places, but after this visit, I’m not sure I’ll be returning for grooming services. Zero stars. There was only four staffs members in the whole store.

She’s been constantly whining/barking as if she’s in pain. She no longer wants to play. I was very concerned and was going to take her to the vet so I called petco just to confirm if they performed a gland expression since that’s what I asked for. I explained to the person that answered my call what was going on with my dog and her responses were very rude and unprofessional. I simply called just to get information and instead she laughed and just referred me to her manager. He was also very unhelpful and seemed like he didn’t care either. All he kept responding with was “ sorry about that”. They then stated that they didn’t perform the gland expression and just said it was something external but I was not informed that they did not perform it during the time of pickup. They also did a horrible grooming job and not what I asked for.
