The receptionist was sweet, and the vet tech, Brian, was absolutely the standout of my entire visit. He was patient, listened to everything, and truly went above and beyond on the financial side. Brian understood my budget constraints from his own life experiences, never judged me, and carefully broke down the costs and options so I could get Ceri exactly what she needed without pressure. He even communicated everything perfectly to Dr. Nunez so I didn't have to repeat myself.Dr. Nunez was also wonderful—clear, honest, and patient with all my frantic questions. By the end of the visit, all the extreme anxiousness I walked in with completely dissipated. It was such a relief to realize I could actually do something to help this cat that fit within what I could afford. Brian and Dr. Nunez are incredible individuals who truly care about animals and real people. They are officially my go-to vet now. Highly recommend!

I came to her for help when my pet was in need of help and she immediately pointed out what another Banfield location overcharged me for. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have known that the Banfield in Citrus Heights overcharged me a total of $536, but she made sure they paid me back through a refund. Also, she quickly transferred my pet's medical records to VCA in Loomis for my pet to be seen as quickly as possible since she was very ill. I thank her for her transparency about my pet's health and thank her for her support during these rough times.

- JJjudyJul 1, 20261.0Horrible. Went in to have my dogs ears cleaned due to debris in her ear. They insisted on an unnecessary cytology procedure Then misdiagnosed my dog and because of that my pet insurance (Embrace - another rip off) won’t cover the visit. And now I have an exclusion in coverage forever more. Be careful when you go in and stand your ground regarding unnecessary procedures and inaccurate vet notes.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
