- DHDonna HouchenApr 18, 20261.0Pup was separated from me for the exam, brought back to me claiming extreme nerves and the upselling began…from sedatives to immobilization devices to conduct a $700 x-ray “to be sure”…I never saw the vet touch the dog once. Photo attached to show very “tense” dog 🙄

Why make it available to book on the app when you actually can’t accommodate? Waited for over an hour and was told I’d have to wait at least another 20 mins. My puppy was getting over stimulated and it was almost time for her to eat so I left. Incredibly frustrating experience
- BBBrian BDec 6, 20251.0Google review I just left… I have been going to Banfield since 2001 with all of my various animals that I’ve had have had plans. Today, I have walked into a Banfield that I have gone to for 3 years. Each time the prices keep going up, but the quality keeps going down and the hours become more limited. I simply want anal glands and nails to be taken care of on my dog. I’m now being told by Tammy that the appointment that I’ve set isn’t valid and as an exception they will treat my dog. I don’t know who she is or how/why she is dictating policy that was never expressed, communicated or provided in writing. In addition to that I’m told I can only come in between 2 PM and 3 PM during the weekdays and Saturday only. So they are now charging me more money for a manicure pedicure glands and limiting the amount of time that I can come in when I’m an individual who runs my own business, and I have three dogs. I will no longer be moving forward with any of the policies for three dogs of mine and I’ll be making sure I cancel those moving forward. I do not recommend Banfield or their wellness plans. The staff is less qualified and less helpful. What a bummer.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.

Hospital hours and services vary at some locations. If your pet requires immediate care, please call ahead so we can ensure your pet’s needs can be met and advise you on next steps. We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
