About

VeterinarianAnimal HospitalEmergency Veterinarian ServiceVeterinary Pharmacy
Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, has been practicing in Hesperia for the last 14 years. Dr. Ahmed and his efficient staff provide top quality veterinary services for dogs and cats. Hesperia Animal Hospital offers complete dentistry and dental X-rays, a full lab, treatment areas, latest X-ray equipment, and a large surgery room, which is fitted with the latest and most advanced surgical equipment. The exhaust system in the work areas keeps the air clean, safe, and odor free. A centrally placed glass walled intensive care sector allows the doctor and staff to keep an eye on severely ill or recuperating pets. There are 4 spacious, clean and odor free exam rooms. Recuperating pets are boarded in rooms, dog runs, or cat kennels. The boarding areas have been designed to maintain a high level of hygiene. Pets suffering from communicable diseases like PARVO are housed in the contagious ward. The boarding and grooming facilities are lodged on the second floor. There are 40 dog runs, varying in size to provide a comfortable home for a Chihuahua or a big St. Bernard. The cat condos are completely separate from the dog runs. The hospital provides quality grooming services. We have experienced and qualified groomers in the hospital. While you are here, you can meet the groomer and setup an appointment.

My Fiance was cleaning out a back shed in the backyard and could smell a foul (dead something) smell..after looking further he noticed teeny tiny kittens eyes not even opened yet. Sadly 3 didn't make it but he saw one move so he picked it up immediately yelled for me to get the keys let's go so we book it to the closest place which was this Hesperia Animal Hospital, explained we didn't know where the mama kitty was it wasn't our cat but a stray that just must have found a way in the shed to be safe enough to have her litter. It really breaks my heart that 95% of these business who are meant to be open and running to help with the lives and safety of these helpless poor animals (whatever animal it may be at the time) yet until my fiance paid the $300 they wouldn't even take a look to see if the poor thing was okay or nothing. Remember this isn't/was t even our cat but how could we be like them and just let a living breathing being suffer and die all over some freaking money!? That's not who we are so we paid the $300 we def didn't have in our budget and it's def going to hurt living wise but the fact that without seeing the green or plastic they can't/wont do the JOB THEY WENT TO SCHOOL FOR! Maybe I'm being a little harsh but I think the whole staff needs to be booted and replaced with an entire new staff who are truly there for the right thing. Not the money but to truly help the sick and wounded animals they supposedly say they are there for. I'm sorry but you simply did ur job at the most basic level you guys could and ONLY after we paid $300 for a kitten who was a complete stray. You showed me what mattered to all of u that day and we will never think to bring our family animals to you because u clearly very CLEARLY showed the animal in distress wouldn't have had any of u in the office lose a wink of sleep. But u better damn well let me slide ur credit card right!? I really do hope they have given others good services and outcomes with their fur babies but I don't trust them after the ordeal we went thru with them 2 days ago. Not a smidge over a 2 out of 5 stars from me. Pathetic. Heartbreaking. I clearly could continue but I think u get my point. Good luck to those debating taking ur pets here. Just go with what ur gut is telling u to do is what I'd prob advise. Good Luck! 🐇🐈🐕🐩🐹🐶🐰🐱🐾🐾🐾

This place use to be great…BACK IN THE DAY! Not now!! The front is horrible. They say oh we will call at this time and never do.. You end up Calling them for them to basically say oh we don’t know call you back soon. March 17th 2026- We took in my family dog who had what we found out was a tumor outside of her tiny body with more still inside . We were quoted originally about $2000+ for the work, labs all that.. however they were able to bring it down to about $1650 which still isn’t that much better. Doggie had surgery..we thought things were all good to go. March 18th 2026 we did her surgery which they were late to start on by 1hr! Sadly about 9:30pm she passed away at home… March 19th 2026 we called to update as doctor requested! Front office said oh sorry we will have doctor call which he never did. Finally when he did call nearly 3 days later says bring in her meds and cone. No consideration for anything about what’s happened. We called a few days later thinking we can maybe lower this hefty bill since we did as asked however once again were told doctor will call you “Friday 3pm” phone call of course never came. Not only are the fees pricy ,the front desk people suck and they never fully keep you updated.. I will never bring my pets here again. I get places need to make money to stay open but this is not the way to do it and at this rate don’t even need to be open. Just look at the many other 1 stars reviews do not let the 5 stars get you.

They've always been really good with all my dogs. The staff here has been with me in their puppy days and through their last days. They very friendly and caring for my 4legged babies and very compassionate towards me when I've had to let them "rest". Even keeping in touch with me months after their passing. All I can say is "THANK YOU".
