If I could give negative stars I would. I have never written a negative review before, but my experience with Goleta Airport Pet Hospital was frustrating enough that I felt everyone should know what happened before making an appointment.. I brought my dog in because she was leaving puddles of what appeared to be urine every time she got up, which is obviously a concerning symptom that needed timely answers. They performed a urinalysis and later told me she needed to come back for a second sample. When I asked why, the technician told me she didn’t know. After the second urinalysis there was no follow up. After I had made multiple attempts to get an update, I was told by a technician that the urine results were consistent with a urinary tract infection. Finally, the veterinarian called and I was told something completely different—that the first urine sample had never even made it to the laboratory and that the second sample was “inconclusive.” The recommendation was to bring my dog back for a third urinalysis. When your pet is having an ongoing medical problem, you expect clear answers and timely updates—not conflicting information and repeated trips for the same test. If you love your pet please go to a different vet.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and the appalling attitude of the staff at this veterinary clinic. I booked my appointment a full week in advance, yet when I arrived, I found out my cat still had to wait in line because the clinic had prioritized other surgeries today. Because of their incredibly poor time management, my cat was forced to stay locked inside her small carrier for 4 to 5 hours. She is strictly an indoor cat, so it is completely normal and expected for her to be terrified of unfamiliar places and strangers. After keeping her trapped, neglected, and severely stressed for hours, the vets had the nerve to complain that she bit someone, and then penalized me by tacking on an extra "handling" fee! After intentionally mistreating her and pushing her to her breaking point, they actually threatened me. They stated that if my cat hadn't had a rabies vaccine in over a year, she should be euthanized. She is entirely an indoor cat! It is absolutely sickening that a clinic would deliberately mistreat and provoke a terrified animal, and then threaten to kill her when she reacts. If you are this amateur, unprofessional, and lack basic compassion for animals, you shouldn't be veterinarians in the first place. I strongly advise against bringing your pets here, especially if you care about their safety and well-being. Adding to my previous review, I need to emphasize the most sickening part of this entire ordeal. The female technicians who threatened to have my cat euthanized, claimed that my cat scratched her. But she NEVER once showed us the supposed wound. I have every reason to suspect that she was completely lying about being scratched just to extort us and force us to pay for an unnecessary rabies vaccine.
