- TTTaylarJun 15, 20261.0This is strictly pertaining to my recent visit to Vetco since a feedback survey was not sent. And I’m not looking for a response from Petco or owner. I’m simply documenting my experience. On 6/13, I had an extremely disappointing experience with Vetco, specifically dr. Rachel amato. I brought my dog in for routine preventive care and came prepared with a basket muzzle already on, knowing he can be anxious in unfamiliar environments. While I understand that veterinary staff must make safety decisions, Rachel amato did not greet me, clearly explain her concerns, or provide meaningful guidance on next steps. I was simply told that my dog needed an unspecified medication and should be seen at a “full-service” veterinary clinic. My issue is not that care was declined, but the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the interaction. I left feeling dismissed and with more questions than answers. Pet owners deserve clear explanations, collaboration, and respectful communication—especially when concerns arise regarding their pet’s care. Based on this experience, I will be seeking veterinary services elsewhere and no longer shopping at Petco.
