  I went to two different Petco locations today looking for reusable belly bands for our foster dogs. Both stores had none in stock. Very frustrating.

  I had the worst experience in this store today . I went into buy a flea collar for my dog. After walking around for awhile looking for them . I went up to the pet grooming counter. They informed me that they were kept in the front of the store. I went to the front of the store and asked the cashier , Brian . Where they were kept. He was very nice and professional. He said we keep them over here, Sir . I was looking for a certain active ingredient . The print was a little small. My eyesight isn't the best so he read the label to me to make sure I found the right one. I called my wife to let her know that I found one for our pet. Brian had to return to his counter to assist a customer, but let me know to ask him if I had anymore questions. As Im talking to my wife on the phone . Another cashier, Cathy . Stepped in front of me and said you cant be in this area. I said why? Im trying to decide on a flea collar for my dog . She replied by saying this is a high theft item ! So I said, in saying that you are implying my intent is to steal ? I was offended by this. That is not the way you treat a customer or any person for that matter that was so disrespectful and humiliating. After a few minutes of having her embarrass me infront of people. I asked to speak to the manager . Lauren, the store manager came over to speak to me. I told Lauren your employee is standing behind you at the counter smiling at me and tapping her name badge. Lauren never looked back at Cathy the cashier ? I told her I will be contacting your corporate office regarding that cashier , Cathy the cashier kept smiling and tapping her name tag . I asked for the corporate office number and have filed a complaint. I did purchase the $67.00 flea collar because there wasn't anywhere else I could find one . I dont fault Petco as a store there are good employees working there . I greatly appreciate Brian the first cashier that helped me . Enclosing , I am a buissness owner as well in Escondido , and would never treat someone the way I was treated. I have confidence that the corporate office will look into this matter and retrain this employee.

  Service was good. I found my product easily. Store appeared clean and tidy. Employee at the register was friendly and efficient. However, many empty shelves and peg hooks throughout the store, especially in the Dog Treats area.....is Petco deliberately reducing inventory levels? I could not buy my dog's Jerky Treats -- not in stock. Also, I was told that I had to ask for a key at the register in order to use the men's room....very inconvenient.

  I recently visited Petco after my dog got a small cut/scratch, and the experience reminded me why I keep coming back. The staff was knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. They didn’t just point me to a product, they explained how to properly care for the wound, what to expect during the healing process, and how long it would likely take to heal based on their experience. One thing I really appreciate about this Petco is that every time I visit, I find employees who genuinely know what they’re talking about. Whether it’s advice for a picky eater dog, recommendations on how to keep our fish tank presten, or guidance on common pet health issues, they’re always willing to help and share useful tips.
