    There were several small dogs waiting for vaccines, along with my dogs. A large dog nearby was barking aggressively, and staff did nothing. After weighing the dog, staff brought it into the same enclosed waiting area where the small dogs were sitting. As the dog walked by, it lunged at a small dog and nearly got loose from its owner, who appeared to be struggling to control it. Concerned for everyone’s safety, I told staff it was irresponsible to bring an aggressive dog into a confined area with small dogs and asked that it be taken outside. Staff eventually had the owner wait outside. Later, while customers were paying at the register, the large dog returned inside with both owners. The male owner began giving me dirty looks, cursing, and claiming we were overreacting, despite not witnessing his dog lunge at another dog earlier. As they walked through the store, the dog again lunged at another customer’s dog in line. What I do not understand is why staff allowed a dog that had already shown aggression and attempted to attack another dog to re-enter the store without requiring a muzzle or taking additional safety precautions. This situation was completely avoidable and created an unsafe environment for customers, pets, and staff. Based on this experience, I would seriously reconsider returning.

    Worst PLACE EVER! I took my newborn kitten in that is 2-3 weeks old. My concern was he was having diarrhea and not eating. Well the Dr came in and examined him. At that time she was preparing to do his temp (of course rectal) at that time she stated “I wish I had a smaller thermometer because he is so tiny. Ok that statement right there made me think WTH. You would think she would just not take the temp with a regular size digital thermometer. Her assistant even suggested to do a tympanic temp the doc said it probably won’t fit in his ear. Ok but yet you will put a huge thermometer in his rectum? AND HERE IS THE KICKER….. after inserting it in he was screaming and she held it in there until it beeped. Then said this isn’t accurate it read 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Well let’s fast forward. This was 6 days ago. He was swollen immediately after. And had a little bloody discharge. I still have to stimulate him to go potty. So he would be fighting me and trying to get away. I call back to Vetco today to ask about this issue…. Low and behold the liar of a doctor stated that she was not able to get his temp so she don’t believe it is caused by that and suggested me to bring him back….. ummmm to charge me to exam my baby for WHAT U CAUSED?????? I DONT THINK SO!!!!! ⁉️⁉️PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABY THERE AT ALL! I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS THAT IS MY FAULT MOST DEFINITELY. I WAS PANICKING BECAUSE I RESCUED HIM AFTER HIS MAMA CAT WAS RAN OVER I JUST WANT HIM TO HAVE A CHANCE TO LIVE. SO PLEASE PLEASE 🙏 DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE TO VETCO ON LAGUNA OR ANY OTHER VETCO⁉️⁉️ Sincerely 🐼’s mom 🥺

    My German Shepherd is a super anxious girl due to lacking of outdoor activities. She was so nervous and kept barking at strangers in the store upon the visit to Vetco for her vaccination. Luckily, the staffs did not show any annoyance or impatience to what she acted. Contrarily, they welcome my dog as usual and showed no fear of her at all even she behaved a bit aggressive. Best Petco/Vetco I ever visited!
