Great at communicating during my dog's major surgery. By the grace of God it turned out well for him. The staff was excellent from the surgeon to the many assistants during after care. Thank you all so much!

We brought one of our cats, a previously feral, and still wary (mostly) outdoor cat to IronHorse without an appointment, and we were seen immediately. We had been caring for this kitty for at least 8 years, and had trapped her for spaying in her first months in our yard, but otherwise had never been able to get her to a vet. She was sweet with my husband and myself, but still distrusting of anyone else, and normally wouldn't allow us to pick her up. We were concerned how she'd be with the vet staff. Apparently, she was in such bad shape, she was fairly easily handled, and the staff were all patient and gentle with her. Despite not being a full time indoor cat, we loved her deeply. We thought she had an upper respiratory infection that had turned more serious, but after much examination and testing, it turned out she had cancer. It had spread throughout her abdomen, and was causing her to build up fluid in her abdomen. Dr. Elhan broke the news to us gently, and with great empathy. She didn't have long, but we decided to let them drain the fluid to make her more comfortable, so we could take her home. Once home, we kept her inside and spent the next few days with her round the clock. We had to make the difficult decision to have her euthanized at home (by another wonderful vet, not employed by IronHorse). A few days later, we received a beautiful and thoughtful condolence card from the people at IronHorse, even though we hadn't notified them. We thought the cost of her care was fair for the extensiveness of the lab work, testing, and overall care. Everyone who worked with us was caring, understanding, and reassuring, while being competent and professional. Our kitty was never treated like anything less than a beloved pet or furry family member. They explained everything thoroughly, and let us make all of the decisions every step of the way, never pushing us to do anything more than what we were comfortable with. Our kitty's welfare was always foremost in every bit of advice they gave and decision made. They made an emotionally painful ordeal as tolerable as possible. We would highly recommend IronHorse VetCare for any emergency (or other) care. We thank Dr. Elhan and everyone who worked with our Lexi.
