  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Banfield Pet Hospital of Corona. I booked an appointment online the day before for my 8-month-old puppy’s ear infection and received a confirmation for an in-person illness visit. When I arrived, the front desk staff told me they were not doing in-room appointments and that I would have to drop off my dog instead — with an additional $130 fee plus even more charges for diagnostics and testing. All I needed was medication for a simple ear infection, not an unnecessary full panel of tests for a young puppy. It felt like they were pushing expensive services that were not needed. What made the experience even worse was being told they had supposedly called me that morning to advise me about the appointment changes. That was simply not true. I had no missed calls and no voicemail messages whatsoever. If the appointment type had changed, proper communication should have happened before I drove there with my dog. This experience felt dishonest and very money-driven. It seems like the “drop-off” approach is encouraged because it creates opportunities to charge more fees. As a pet owner, I expect transparency, honesty, and reasonable care — not pressure tactics and surprise costs. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for veterinary care. I know I will.

  This Banfield is great! I even got some goodies from them when picking up my dogs’ flea medications. I really appreciate how the staff here always calls the next day to follow up on my dogs’ surgeries & etc. to see that they’re fine. This Banfield is often busy, however. I plan to continue using this Banfield & their optimum wellness plans for my 3 babies!

  I’ve been to Banfield vet three times over the last year and I’ve been disappointed three times over the last year. I dropped the dog off at 10:45 in the morning at 3 o’clock in the afternoon over four hours later I called them. THEY DIDN’T CALL me to find out what’s going on. Only then they tell me about all the work they want to do x-rays exams so on and so forth four hours after I’ve dropped him off, I picked the dog up and went home hugely disappointed with Banfield I will certainly never be back.
