This review is especially for Dr Alex Rahm. He saw both of my senior kitties for the first time this past year. Dr Rahm took time to get to know each animal in a warm and affectionate way. He won their trust in order to give them a thorough examination, and also paid careful attention to my input and questions. He got down on the floor with my big cat Raul in order to cradle him and gently manipulate his paws, checking on the progression of his arthritis. Wow! Dr Rahm was also able to see enough of my other cat Zazie’s teeth to spot and show me an infected molar. I understand that examining an animal’s teeth can be a challenge, but I think vets might at least try! Anyway, that turned out to be a lifesaver for Zazie. She’s doing great now after dental surgery, energetic and eating well. Thank you Dr Rahm, for you patience, bravery and kindness!

Dr. Rahm Who is the friendliest and most compassionate veterinarian we’ve had the pleasure to interact with. Most of the time he stayed on the floor with the dogs so he was at Their level. This made them feel very comfortable, making it even easier to interact, feel and monitor them as they wanted to be pet and give kisses. A lot of times animals are scared of the vet and I didn’t see that with any of the animals that were here. They were actually excited to be at the vet. I highly recommend this Clinic and Dr. Rahm.

I spent a lot of time here in the last year or so caring for my senior dog with multiple ailments. Throughout the process, I felt so supported by everyone at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital- from the vets, vet techs, and front desk attendants. Becca in particular was wonderful and made me feel like she cared about my dog and everything we were going through. I was also impressed with the vets' skills at handling my pup while putting her through the most minimal pain/probing. Even before coming with more serious illnesses, they were so good at getting her diagnosed and treated quickly and effectively for other things (like skin problems, anal glands, allergies etc). I am so glad I had the folks at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital to help me care for my dog, I am forever grateful.

Unfortunately will not be coming back. In my opinion the doctor is somewhat unprofessional, pushing medication and not giving me full information when it comes to making appointments. Prescribed eye cream for my cat, did not do anything. Had to make yet another appointment in 48 hours that was all of a sudden canceled because i need to go to an “eye specialist” which was not recommended or said when i called several times to make the second appointment. Disappointed now i have to pay upwards of 400$ to see a specialist. Genuinely out for money not to help your pet:(

We had a wonderful experience at this vet as new patients. Our cat’s right eye has been infected since Saturday evening, and Dr. Briggs treated her with such great care. Our cat warmed up to him very well, all things considered. Not only did he throughly look at her eye, he also examined her and gave us some pointers. The eye drops that he gave us have been working well and our cat’s eye is looking better already.
